Hendax, Fair enough but did the racing office explain why your dog, and the Martin Murray dog, were listed as reserves? Makes Mr Brayshaw's explanation very confusing.

No mention. Not only has she been denied a good shot at the £500 first prize, or the £100 for others, she's been disadvantaged with no run at all now

Presumably rufus - they still have to do this in case a dog is pulled out for other reasons than for disqualification, which makes sense! Should any further dogs drop out for whatever reason - say 2, it would make the race a laughable contest wouldn't it? I cannot think of any other reason for reserve listing than the one I give above.

This could well have happened to any of us really as nobody is immune to the occasional lapse from our hounds are we:-/

Jet didn't get out which was her own fault. If she had she'd of been clear. She looked to be challenging for the lead though turning into the third but was then crowded out by the very same dog later disqualified for interference. Lost 3rd place in a photo by 0.01. Never did get to see it.

Manseefan, Thanks for the explanation. The pennies just dropped and your explanation makes total sense.

Brilliant performance from our Ultimate Destiny tonight. All of us in the syndicate were really pleased for him to get to the final, but to win was a wonderful bonus. Thanks to Joy and her team and well done Ultimate. He is such a lovely dog!
