Could it be that Belle vue is short of dogs because owners are not prepared to let these complete morons in the racing office try to cripple their dogs anymore. Chase the bond had his back legs taken from him yesterday at the second bend and was very lucky not to be completely knocked over, luckily he came off sound, to my complete dismay I have been informed he has to re-trial, WHY comments from racing office below. 6th Chase the Bond m NOV 2011 BEBD Thurlesbeg Joker Bower Peggy 29.95 14 ½ 4.27 4 5/1 StkInto&BBmp2
A few weeks ago Chevaton not only headbutted Jimmy at the first bend but then stopped chasing and was beaten a distance, NO retrial racing again the following week, does the racing office and the parasites called the GRA think owners are just going to keep buying dogs so the owners get treated like sh!t by them. Bubblesndiamonds trialled over 590m 35.91 thinking they would put her in an S2 as she doesnt have the pace to live with A4 dogs they put her in an A4 comments below. 6th Bubblesndiamonds f OCT 2011 BK Ace Hi Rumble * Horseleapairport 28.85 ¾ 4.32 3 6/1 Crd2&3 I am so incensed by the actions of the racing office that I have decided to sell both dogs, which is a shame as they are both very promising youngsters, with bright futures but I dont want to end up with large vets bills just because of the complete ****ing idiots who dont give a toss about greyhound welfare or the owners, i feel sorry for Darren who has done a tremendous job with these pups, anybody interested with serious offers please e mail firstname.lastname@example.org or text 07932 763062, there will be a discount if the dogs stay in Darrens kennels, please excuse bad language but am absolutely furious

chasethejimmys sentiments are felt by a number of owners (enthusiasts) who own greyhounds as a hobby, we have seriously considered moving our dogs over the past weeks due to the inept grading at Belle Vue, and what seems to be a lack of consideration for the welfare of the greyhounds when grading a race. it would be done with a sad heart as we know the dogs are settled an extremely well looked after at June McCombes kennels.
The benchmark for retrials used to be 10 lengths although it seems to have been extended over the years but when a dog is beaten 24 lengths in a graded race it will ALWAYS have to retrial. I have actually asked for it a couple of times after a rough race because it can help a dog to get his confidence back if he has a solo trial.
With Bubblesndiamonds the 3 grade hike wasn't nice but almost inevitable after finding 60 spots. I actually thought she ran quite well under the circumstances and wouldn't have been far away but for the melee at the second bend.
I'd take a few days to consider the fun you've already had with these two youngsters - they might still have some surprises for you.
cheers Chris my wife and I are moving to Cornwall in a couple of months and theres no track for miles, and tbh its not the same watching it on the net or in the bookies, im pretty sure Bubbles will make up into a nice stayer and Bondy could be minor open class, but if i cant get to see them its not the same, WE were really excited about both of their futures but an opportunity came along for my wife and weve decided to take it, not a bad place to live Cornwall
It would not surprise me one bit that this time around the Belle Vue Racing Office team have to settle on a couple of small owners trainers, say with 10/12 greyhounds.
The days of the big trainer's are numbered, But I do know of one who would fit the bill, but it appears they are settled at there present track and would be very reluctant to move even though they could be at the ZOO in less than an hour!
Looking at the list I posted above I would imagine Mr James Bamber must be in with a good chance this time of getting the nod from Captain Bob.
Jimmy is currently on Perry Barr and makes the 240 miles round trip from his Longton, Preston based kennels a couple of times a week when required.
A move to Belle Vue would be ideal for him in more ways than one.
I also know of a few other North West based trainers who have told me recently they would they would not consider being a trainer on Belle Vue for a Gold Clock, BUT THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN!

I may apply ive got two lurchers and a black and tan mongrel, wouldn't mind the 800 mile trip 4 times a week cos the prize money is so good, look out for suzy, bella and sky, looks like a flapping race so should fit nicely at the zoo
HERE'S A FEW MORE STATS THAT HAVE AREADY COME TO LIGHT SO FAR THIS WEEK....
WEDNESDAY BAGS MEETING - 14 TRAINERS WITH RUNNERS - 2 NOT REQUIRED
FRIDAY MEETING [NOW REDUCED TO 12 RACES] - 11 TRAINERS WITH RUNNERS - 5 NOT REQUIRED.
NOW THAT SEEMS OK - BUT IS IT?
5 TRAINER' HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE BELLE VUE RACING OFFICE TEAM THIS MORNING THERE NOT NEEDED THIS FRIDAY EVENING.
I DON'T THINK FOR ONE MINUTE ANY OF THE 5 TRAINERS HAVE ASKED FOR A NIGHT OFF, BECAUSE IF THEY HAD OF DONE THE ODDS ARE THEY WOULD BE RUFSED ANYWAY!
THIS MEANS THAT THEY ARE EITHER FORCED TO ATTEND THE THURSDAY MORNING TRIAL SESSION OR BE LEFT WITH A SITUATION WHERE THEY WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED LIMITED TRIALS BEFORE RACING ON A SATURDAY EVENING AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THEY CAN'T EVEN HAVE ANY SPRINT TRIALS BEFORE RACING ON SATURDAY'S
IN MY OPINION THIS IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER AND THE BELLE VUE RACING OFFICE TEAM NEED TO HAVE A RE-THINK..
