I am very happy to report that the " Asset to the Local Community " project is going along very nicely
as I am trying to create a " Stadium Tour " or creating part of this . I understand that care homes and
schools will be informed and this should have the backing of all the local councillors .
My most immediate task is to turn the late bar area into an art gallery ! You should see some pretty
decent photo frames going up here and there , I already have some crackers in the pipeline . Lots
of Belle Vue Dog stuff ! I am also setting up some audio visual displays which will probably be set
up in the smaller party suite . I also have a lot of memorabilia . Mick Hardy is fully behind this
project and is pleased with the progress thus far .
Rest assured I will keep an eye on the gardening , with a huge display along the old paraders path of
multi coloured pansies and violas , that grow well in the winter . Currently we still have some
summer bedding plants in there which are on borrowed time in all truth but there are still quite a
few flowers left in those troughs so I will leave them for a week or two .
When parties of schools and care homes start coming round we need a huge display in those front
troughs and the flowers I have suggested grow quite well in frosty weather . So they will be going
The art gallery display will be huge , I can assure you , its all good stuff . I have permission to
lease some work , on free loan , from the Gorton Visual Arts Group who have done some work
currently on display in the Gorton Indoor Market of the Zoo Gardens and I have persuaded them
let me display some of their work . Their group was supported by Manchester City Council
and has the backing of all the local councillors who want to see their work on display and
where . No better place than us !
All good and positive !
