Our very own Dr Chris Steele, famous for his TV appearances on ITV's This Morning, was a welcome guest at last week's media day.
Dr Chris a greyhound racing OWNER and lifelong fan, was there to support our campaign to fight the planned demolition of the stadium.
"I would urge everyone to take a minute to sign the petition. This is such a historic and valued part of the community that we simply can't afford to lose."

Just like ASDA would say - once it's gone, it's gone, but our stadium would NEVER RETURN, this Historic, Iconic stadium, dearly beloved far and wide, is in serious danger of vanishing from planet earth!
Why should this even be under consideration when there are many viable alternatives to provide our housing needs WITHOUT destroying this very valuable Entertainment Centre - Have consideration to another of our needs and not destroy our heritage!

I have also been given the task of posting as many leaflets around the local area as possible to get a few more clicks on the petition . The two local bingo clubs were very helpful putting leaflets in their foyer and sheets up on community notice boards. I have posted quite a lot into folks letter boxes and should have all the houses on Stanley Grove done very soon . |

Our recent submission has had an immediate impact - over 600 letters and counting, but we need many more, so please keep them coming until further notice - from here on the forum, or directly informed by myself via FOBVS Team!

I have informed anyone that have been prepared to listen, that there is plenty of activity going on below the radar - Roy's post is a prime example of just one of the many grafting away without seeking publicity, they just get on with it!

BELLE VUE GREYHOUND STADIUM NEED YOUR HELP - PLEASE SIGN TO SAVE THIS HISTORIC LANDMARK.
Alan Kershaw started this petition to Manchester City Council Planning Department
Submitted is our first batch of both Objection letters and petition signatures, along with our Legal submission to Manchester Council for the consultation process,
We now begin Phase 2 of the campaign to save our beloved stadium!
We have until 24th February, when planners will announce whether the application is on the Agenda for the Committee Meeting in March.
*At this point we will need to submit our remaining collection of Objection letters, written petition entries and our electronic petition collection totals!
SO PLEASE keep going with your support - every letter and signature count. We appreciate all your help.
In the meantime we will be .....
1) Increasing the dual count of both collection methods of support!
2) Increasing our written Objection Letter support!
3) We have scheduled Meetings with and will continue to talk to Key Decision makers!
4) We are seeking headline making supporters – if you are able to submit any willing to join our fight, please let me know.
5) Raising our profile with the media
