At Peterborough last night, Jason Bloomfield’s 2-1 favourite Seattle Sam justified the market confidence to land the £2,000 final of the Alan Speechley Fengate Collar over 435m, writes Jonathan Kay of the Racing Post..
Clear from the first bend, he held the late charge of Kooga Klass by half a length in 26.28sec.
Both supporting finals also saw thrilling finishes with David Pruhs’s Lemon Jetson (15.32sec) holding off Headford Domino by a short-head in the sprint, while Glenn Foot’s Raise The Stakes (38.39sec) got up close home to deny Twit Twoo in the stayers - both competitions sponsored by S&D Bookmakers.
