The way things are going a ten race card will soon turn into a nine race card, you would think that the trainers or owners of all these dogs that trialed on would be asking the racing office why these dogs are not getting on the card. It would be nice if you could temper your judgement until you know different, instead of fuelling rumour! Suffice to say that the current available numbers aren't as high as some people might believe! Apart from the usual trauma - we have a the cough to contend with, it seems to prevail around this time! Add this to the hounds going open racing this week and the beginning of next - at least 8 that I am aware of... you can guess the rest! Far from your supposition that 10 will lead to 9 etc etc, protectionism going forward will ensure that we should mostly be attaining our minimum target of 12 races on Sats, subject to, of course, any dreaded lurgies that do the rounds at this time of the year. One must always be careful what you wish for in asking for 13/14 races for Sat as the Norm, I for my pains - I am one who does want us to hit this target! With many trainers not wishing to travel for what should be our main trialing day, Tuesday, as is their choice, should there be curtailed trialing accommodation on Sat because of this, followed by no trialing on Sunday for whatever reason - what then? The next complaint would no doubt be - we can't get your dog trialed because the tracing office will only let us have 2/4 or whatever! This has happened before - it's a merry go round with everyone blaming each other! I, for one -hope that we get back to 14 races on Sat asap, regular trialing Tuesday, clarity on track security asap followed by an extra meeting soon after - but for now, until this has a chance of happening - I am grateful for continued racing at our home track - long may this continue! At least try and be positive until you know anything different - pray along with the rest of us, and stop moaning!

You sir seem to have a dig at me when ever i post an opinion, you my not like what i post but that does not mean i am wrong, as a owner with dogs on BV i want it to continue racing but i am not blind as to what i see as what appears to be a sinking ship unless the good ole SS Arc steams to the rescue !!!
PS, and for whats its worth you and admin always seem to come up with excuses for the current situation at BV, can you not see what is happening ??

yeah sat night the public come along for a night out they wanna see a full strength meeting as well the owners and trainers there no excuses, you look at Sheffield 16 races on Saturday night there should no cutbacks we want the zoo going strong Marcus - in answer to above, what part of my post relating to wanting a max 14 race card, is at odds with your point! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which is what promotes, or should do - healthy debate, ideas and views as to a way forward! This response is being polite also, with no sarcasm attached, and I would answer as others have done, that all of the points raised are relevant to this ongoing issue! If you had read the post correctly, you would surely have picked up on the point that I was agreeing with you! The first time we get reduced down to 10 races - the moaners abound, never fails and it is easy for some on here to state that I always appear to be defending BV! That may be so, but it is what I see as being nearer the truth than many posts on here, and if it aligns with BV - then so be it, I defend my right to my view just as much as anyone else! What would you have me do - not post anything? There are few enough posts entering into healthy debate as it is - but if it suits, ok I will give it a rest, one more less if you like, no worries!

Why are people kidding themselves, this will happening more and more. There will be more owners looking elsewhere and more trainers looking at alternatives. I could go on and on the place is so badly run from top to bottom.

WE/I hope its a tempory situation but why are we short.it appears plenty trial and plenty get marked up. WHERE HAVE THESE GRADERS GONE.nobody seems to have an explanation.so what is the problem. ?is the grades not good enough.to put on competitive races. I cant see that. but we ourselves have a good few low graders.its prices I think. on the other side, things may improve next week.let's hope so.
