Bubbly Swallow wins well: Bridge goes faster... Bubbly Swallow: very impressive in the heats of the Golden Jacket SIX red-hot heats of the £15,000 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket took place at Crayford on Saturday night and fastest qualifier going forward to next weekend's semi-finals is Boherna Bridge.
The first heat had Lord Vanquish, an uneasy 6-4 favourite, lead out of the second bend and strike for home. Diane Henry's brindle had to fend off a strong challenge from King Lauchlan around the seventh bend and then an even late run from Eden Rumble - holding on by a short-head and a neck in 46.14sec.
Heat two saw Kevin Hutton's Ding Hero (3-1) get the best out of an early battle with Blonde Reagan and stamp his authority from the third bend. Blonde Reagan, ante-post favourite for the event, ran a disappointing race thereafter dropping away to finish sixth and it was left to Freedom Cache and Farloe Elektra to chase home the 45.99sec. winner.
Bubbly Swallow (4-5F) and Oneco Cool, the market principals, dominated heat three with the former railing well to gain the upper-hand from the fourth bend. Nick Savva's bitch kept up a relentless gallop to score by three lengths in 45.55sec with Pony Bride finishing well to snatch third spot.
The fourth eliminator went to Chris Allsopp's Boherna Bridge (6-1) who broke well and was able to turn in front. Sustaining a strong gallop throughout, he was always comfortably holding Crinkhill Jewel and Ballymac Swift to stop the clock in 45.44sec. There was a bold front-running performance from Claude Gardiner's Droopys Xavier (6-1) who took the fifth heat in 45.72sec. A bunched finish for the places saw Paulines Pride and Airforce Harlem squeeze through into the semi-finals.
Last of the six heats went to Danny Riordan's White Soks Roks (3-1) made all but was all out to hold the ultra-game Lottes Girl by a head in 45.73sec. Buglys Billie came from well back to take third spot and a place in the last 18. Draw for Saturday's semi-finals (live on SIS)

White Soks Roks (T5) was the fastest Golden Jacket semi-final winner Roks is fastest as wides dominate Jacket semis A tremendous Saturday morning Bags card at Crayford was highlighted by the three semi-finals of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket run over 714 metres All three eliminators were won by trap-six runners and storming into next week's £15,000 final with the fastest time is White Soks Roks.
First semi-final: White Soks Roks, who drifted alarmingly in the betting (9-4 out to 9-2), made all of the running. Pacing up and cutting the corner, Danny Riordan's black was always in command to make it two from two since moving to the UK. The February 10 whelp beat Droopys Xavier by 3 1/4L in 45.29sec.
Second: Ding Hero and Paulines Pride had a good buckle for six bends with the latter, trained by Darren Whitton and sent off the 11-10 jolly, finally managing to assert from the seventh turn. Keeping on well, the Henlow wide beat the fast finishing Pony Bride by 3 1/2L in 45.62sec.
Third: Despite a fast start and an early lead, Nick Savva's Bubbly Swallow was never able to shake the opposition and was outstayed by Kevin Hutton's Crinkill Jewel (7-1) who led off the final bend and kept on well. She beat Eden Rumble, who finished well to mug Bubbly Swallow for second spot, by 1 1/2L in 45.79sec.
Draw for next Saturday's final:
1 Eden Rumble, 2 Droopys Xavier, 3 Pony Bride (m), 4 Crinkill Jewel (w), 5 Paulines Pride (w), 6 White Soks Roks (w).
The programme also included three heats of the £2,000 Peter Bussey Memorial Trophy (540m)
Heat one: Star Cash Simon stumbled out and never got into it. Airforce Frankie looked uneasy on the bends. Fernhill Fury set the pace but was always a sitting duck for Tony Gifkins' Droopys English (3-1JF) who led at the fifth bend and kept on well to score by 1 1/4L in 34.09sec.
Heat two: Bridge Jane got a flying start and set a fast and furious pace. However, Romeo Patriot (2-1F), despite looking a little laboured on the bends, was showing serious pace in the straights and made a winning move down the back straight. Finally leading off the final turn, Dave Firmager's black ran on well to score by a shade over two lengths in 33.99sec.
Heat three: A scrappy race saw Mark Wallis's Bridge Bandit (2-1F) take charge by the third bend and make the best of his way home. Bubbly Rossie, who was slow away and then nearly put over the fence at the first bend, ran a remarkable race to finish second albeit some three and a half lengths behind the 34.41sec winner.
Draw for next Saturday's final:
1 Droopys English, 2 Bridge Jane, 3 Bridge Bandit, 4 Fernhill Fury (w), 5 Romeo Patriot (w), 6 Bubbly Rossie (w).

WHITE SOKS ROKS is best at evens with Hills for Saturday's £15,000 final of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket over 714m at Crayford as the majority of firms opted to better the sponsor's immediate post-semi 8-11 quote. Danny Riordan's dog was comfortably quickest at that stage as he made all in the opener for a three lengths-plus victory over Droopys Xavier in 45.29sec (normal) although the perception that wide runners such as White Soks Roks enjoyed the best of the going is reflected in the fact that the railing runnerup is generally rated the main danger and second favourite.

LAST week's nap WHITE SOKS ROKS sauntered to success in his Ladbrokes Golden Jacket semi-final on Saturday morning at Crayford.Landing unbelievable odds of 9-2, he owes nothing to punters, but must be sided with at much shorter prices for the final itself. He looks in a different league to his rivals in this week's £15,000 decider, broadcast live in betting shops on Saturday morning. Daniel Riordan has done a fantastic job since being sent the dog by Irish trainer Declan Byrne and, under his watchful eye, this son of Royal Impact is undefeated through this competition going from strength to strength. The Irish raider clocked the fastest time of the year so far over the 714m trip last Saturday, beating Droopys Xavier by three and a quarter lengths in 45.29s, almost half a second quicker than any time posted so far. The draw has been kind to the selection, with the wide seed again blessed with trap six and the opportunity to rocket to the first bend in front. Full-brother and fellow wide Paulines Pride went from the front in his semi-final after winning an early battle with Ding Hero. However, he's not renowned for his early pace and should not pose a problem to his sibling. The main danger and second favourite behind the selection is St Leger finalist Droopys Xavier, who had his winning run ended emphatically by White Soks Roks and has it all to do to reverse the form. This railer will again have the opportunity to make the running on the inside with slow-starting Eden Rumble and Pony Bride for company, but the make-up of this race mirrors Saturday's semifinal - as will the result. Heats for the £2,000 Peter Bussey Memorial Trophy also took place last weekend, with the final featuring on this Saturday morning's BAGS meeting. We advised readers to follow Tony Gifkins' DROOPYS ENGLISH at the backend of last year as he looked to have a big future as a stayer. He has struggled since the turn of the year, missing the break and ending his chances on his first two starts. It was a slightly better break on Saturday which enabled him to turn handier than usual and utilise his phenomenal middle speed. He has been ideally drawn in trap one for the final and is incredibly available to back at 4-1. Dave Firmager's Romeo Patriot takes a chunk out of the market as short as 10-11 and, although he clocked the fastest time in qualifying, he looked all at sea on some of the bends and is a vulnerable favourite. With Fernhill Fury sharp from the boxes and likely to move off from trap four, there could well be trouble on the outside spelling danger for both the favourite and Bubbly Rossie, who are drawn in traps five and six respectively. Droopys English has pace on his outside in Bridge Jane and Bridge Bandit, but with both likely to go up fast, they could well get in each other's way, further enhancing the chances of the selection who will be lying in wait and ready to nip up the inside. In a clean-run race the prices about Droopys English are appealing, but given the way in which this race may play out, that price looks huge and is a must.

Five runners in supporting final on Ladbrokes Golden Jacket morning
Bubbly Rossi lame and misses Peter Bussey final
BUBBLY ROSSIE (lame, 10.40am) has been withdrawn from Saturday’s Peter Bussey Memorial Trophy final at Crayford leaving trap six vacant in the 540m decider which supports the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket final.
Trainer Paul Young said: “He ripped a nail out in the heats and is still very sore so won’t be fit to run. I’d say he’ll be off for around three weeks.”
Romeo Patriot is hot favourite for the £2,000 contest with Dave Firmager’s dog having clocked the fastest time in the heats despite having to overcome trouble in running.

Thanks for posting the videos nowso I did not see them today. Soks wins again at 9/2 could not believe the price today, was only 3's in the heats. I got 8's antepost fingers crossed. White Soks Roks goes through Jacket unbeaten WHITE SOKS ROKS put up a professionally clinical performance to remain unbeaten through the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket and land the £15,000 prize, the traditional showcase of the winter Bags programme. Crayford's 714m competition had attracted a top quality field, with many disappointed at failing to get a run, but nothing was able to cope with Irish star White Soks Roks, sent to Danny Riordan by Declan Byrne for a crack at the event. Drawn outside his wider running litter brother Paulines Pride, the issue was would White Soks Roks make the bend safely? A fast break put that doubt to bed, and he made all to score by over three lengths in 45.48sec, with Droopys Xavier, who turned a gallant second, bustled up close home by rank outsider Pony Bride, who ran on really well after a very slow start, and getting held up on the third turn. She missed out on second by just a head. Paulines Pride's chance ended when Crinkill Jewel moved off at the bend, where he was bumped and stumbled. Owned by the Dogfathers syndicate of ten, Kilkenny based members Eamonn Morrissey and publican Billy Morrison (of Christy's Bar in Patrick St, Kilkenny) were on hand to lift the trophy and celebrate a brave plan that had come together. Full story and Steve Nash's pictures in Sunday's Racing Post
What a competition from White Soks Roks from that first post on the RPGTV thread he has won at 3/1 = 9/2 = 4/5 and 8/1 antepost cheers White Soks

WHITE SOKS ROKS put up a professionally clinical performance to remain unbeaten through the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket and land the £15,000 prize, the traditional showcase of the winter Bags programme.
Crayford's 714m competition had attracted a top quality field, with many disappointed at failing even to get a run such was the huge entry, but nothing was able to cope with Irish star White Soks Roks, sent to Danny Riordan by Declan Byrne for a crack at the event. Drawn outside his wider running litter-brother Paulines Pride, the issue was would White Soks Roks make the bend safely? A fast break put that doubt to bed, and he made all to score by over three lengths in 45.48sec from Droopys Xavier. The latter, who turned a gallant second, was bustled up close home by rank outsider Pony Bride, who ran on really well after a very slow start and getting held up on the third turn. She missed out on second by just a head. Paulines Pride's chance ended when Crinkill Jewel moved off at the bend, where he was bumped and stumbled, while Eden Rumble had been moving well down the back first time until forced to check his stride as he challenged for third place, and he crucially lost momentum. White Soks Roks is owned by The Dogfathers syndicate of ten, and their Kilkenny-based members Eamonn Morrissey, who is involved in electronics, and publican Billy Morrison (of Christy's Bar in Patrick Street, Kilkenny) were on hand to lift the trophy and celebrate a brave plan. It was their first ever dog and had come about when one of the gang, inspired by the success of his girlfriend's Scolari Me Daddy - she was part of the Glamour Paws - suggested 'The Dogfathers' should try their luck. Morrissey said: "We heard about a litter bred locally by Denis Lennon, and we ended up taking a chance with White Soks Roks, and we sent him to Declan Byrne. It's been a dream come true." Riordan said: "Everything fell into place when he trapped. We've only had the dog a month, and he's improved throughout. It's only really a hobby for us, and there's a bit of pressure when you've got a dog for somebody else and he's a short price for a major final, but I suppose we're old and wise enough to handle it. He's done the job, in style, and it's very satisfying for everyone when a plan comes together!" Billy Morrison said they would probably send the dog back to Ireland with a view to racing at Shelbourne, a possibility is a return to Riordan for a tilt at Wimbledon's Leger. "I'd like to say thank you to Danny - he's done a great job - and also to Ladbrokes for their generous hospitality here today. We actually have one of their shops close by the pub, so at least we're customers too!" Danny Rayment, Crayford's RM, said: "This was my 16th Golden Jacket - and the most competitive. Our congratulations to the winner, he did everything right and is a worthy champion." Bridge Bandit, Jonathan Kay's Open Check nap, landed the 540m Peter Bussey Memorial for Mark Wallis and owner Peter Bridge, making all in 33.97sec, with Droopys English staying on to be beaten a length, and Romeo Patriot taking off late to be third. Wallis said: "We won this last year with Aero Joker, and it really kick-started out year." However, Bridge Bandit will not be part of his Ladbrokes Trainers' Championship team. "He prefers sharper tracks, six bends here or 575m at Romford is perfect. He's certainly in peak form and it's great to win." Mash Mad Snowy made a winning jumps debut when landing the Chief Ramsbottom Hurdle, despite appearing to forget he was over the sticks and running through the last flight! Trained by Seamus Cahill for Con Boles, Andy Bradstock and Corrinne Wright, Teresa Cahill said: "We put him in with more experienced hurdlers as they sometimes learn more that way." A recent Coronation Cup finalist and fourth in the Puppy Derby, Boles added: "We're certainly hopeful about the Springbok and we're all on at the 7-1 with the sponsors [Hills]!" Lode Vanquish clocked the same time as White Soks Roks when taking the 714m invitation in style for Diane Henry. The race had been delayed when the traps had failed to open, but Lode Vanquish showed an impressive turn of pace to kick clear at the bend, beating Longford By Pass by seven lengths. Buglys Billie, who also failed to survive the Jacket semis, was another to get deserved consolation when landing the 874m marathon in thrilling last-tofirst style, getting up to catch Mullrook Proby in 57.65sec.
