Benny it would be run on coursing lines with 8, 16 and 32 dog sweepstakes.
Dont hold me to this just yet but if the dogs were slipped instead of coming out of a trap, then they would still be able to run under rules at tracks.

Tony, in answer to your questions 1.DO YOU NEED A LICENCE OF ANY TYPE? No. You do not need a licence as far as i know. Years ago you could only run 8 meetings a year without permission but i am sure that has changed. We trial almost every sunday and sometimes in the week and we run about 5 or 6 meetings a year. 2.DO YOU NEED TO BE IN A CLUB? No. You do not have to belong to any club or organisation. Sort out your own general rules. Rules that suit your circumstances. We try to run under coursing rules as much as possible but it cannot always be so. 3.IS IT TRUE TRACK DOGS CAN RUN WITHOUT ANY REPRISALS AS LONG AS THEY ARE SLIPPED? Yes. No problem here. Peter Debenham who runs the meetings at Fakenham sorted this out with the GBGB. As long as the dogs do not come out of traps you are ok. 4.DO WE NEED A VET TO ATTEND? We always have a vet on call if needed. Just arrange with your local vet that if, in the need of an emergency, you can call on him. 5.DO WE NEED A GAMBLING LICENSE ?We do not have bookmakers so no licence needed. we just run and give all entry fees back as prize money and add a trophy for the winner. Most take something out for running costs but we run as a non profit making club. One word of warning. The ......... people are great supporters of drag racing and will travel long distances to run. You have to make sure you are in charge as they do try it on to get things run their own way. We run in stud book names and i have had occassion to ban one or two of them for cheating and running dogs as other dogs. If you run in any names then you dont have a problem. Just make sure you check the dogs earmarks before each run so you have the right dogs. Good luck with your enterprise and if it's not too far i will be seeing you at one of your meetings.
These are the answers from a very well respected drag hare organiser.
Dont know about the bookie situation though, might have to go to the back alleys like years ago.
