Congratulations, once people don't agree with you just have a pop at their command of the English language, better than trying to justify your argument that £20 run money is worth more than the welfare of our dogs, and that of the people who work so hard for little reward in our sport. I'm not suggesting that the same fate would have befallen June, but the article clearly indicates just how severe the weather was on Friday evening in the area, and any sensible person should be able to understand why the decision was made to allow June to leave early. Perhaps you should start another thread lambasting all the tracks who cancelled meetings on Saturday and Sunday, when apparently the racing surfaces were perfectly raceable, just because they were worried about the safety of their staff and trainers travelling to and from the Stadia.

miraclegrow it seams to have made everything grow but your brain or you would not think that putting the welfare of the dogs first was wrong

So good you said it twice daisysofie! Welfare? It certainly wasnt dog welfare that was behind the decision. Want to talk dog welfare? I could do that one if you like duncsnm- let me know when you want to do it. Maybe after you've finished having a pop at me for daring to hold an unpopular opinion. Skippy, you're a funny chap, had them rolling in the aisles that one.

i'll talk welfare of dogs if you want because i'm the kind of owner that buys a dog for £450 then spends £600 to save her from being put down then takes her home so she can have a good life if i had a dog with june i would have said thank you for doing the right thing NOW TELL US WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS OR ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE OWNERS THAT WANT TO GET RID OF THEM WHEN THEY CANT RUN ANY MORE OR ARE YOU AN OWNER OR ANIMAL RIGHTS NUTTER

If I have a view that doesn't mirror yours I must be a nutter or an irresponsible owner eh? I don't think it works that way. And posting in upper case adds nothing to the strength of your argument.
The original debate was around what difference it made to leave one hour early and why owners should foot the bill for the decision - that seems to be lost in the 'vigorous vilification' lol

the reason was that the owners were willing to stand the loss of prize money what happend to you wanting to talk about dog welfare to us owners the dogs welfare comes first all you seam to do is worry about looseing a few pounds

And are you an owner? You have been asked several times and seem to do well to dodge the question. If June is your trainer and you have issues with your bill then take this up with her. If you're convinced you're right and stand by your convictions then you don't need to hide on the boards. Your opinions are your own after all. You seem to be trying to provoke a response from the community but this only concerns yourself and your trainer if indeed you are an owner. I'm not too sure what getting everyone's back up is going to achieve.

If you don't like what you read you can simply skip to the next topic, can you not? I do.
I've got a few dogs yes, does that help you at all?
Welfare? Happy to chat but it'll not get more than two posts before bvadmin closes the thread...where do want to start?
