Went to the bookies with another owner to watch our dog on the bags at Sheffield yesterday but when trying to put a bet on we were told all your bets have to be phone through as we know you have dogs at Belle vue . We said were betting on Sheffield but from what she said it wouldn't matter if it was tiddlywinks all bet from now on will have to be phoned through  all bets were between £5 and £20 what a joke .

its 25 quid min phone bet at ladbrookes I wish I could get £25 with laddies I'm on referral now. 90% is betfair now but the markets are often crap for the dogs. |

Most of the high street bookies don't like to take bets off anyone they think has an edge. By being known to be involved with dog racing that's how they'll perceive you. In a way it's a back handed compliment, although in my own experience, if you're an owner you tend to lose more than you win and so they should be welcoming you through the door.
I bet they wouldn't stop you going on the bandits though ....
