Agree that he is a great trainer but I also think a lot of credit should also go to his staff. Ian Sutherland seems to me to be a genuine and hard working bloke.

The greatest trainer is the one who gets the best from each dog they work with !
Charlie is super although i have to say he's working with dogs with HUGE pace before they even enter his kennel . Saying that i feel he gets the best from his dogs . Not sure many of his dogs make good STUD dogs though witch is a bit of a Question that needs answearing considering the pace they have ?

Sidaz Jack: injury to be assessed by vet Lame Sidaz Jack out of Yarmouth Derby SIDAZ JACK, the William Hill Derby champion, is lame and will be withdrawn from the East Anglian Derby at Yarmouth where he was due to run from trap one in the third quarter-final on Wednesday.
Charlie Lister's dog was beaten into second by fastest-of-round winner Any Dak on Saturday when he did perhaps not find as much as expected in the later stages of the contest.
"I wasn't 100 per cent happy with him on Sunday morning," said Lister yesterday, "but it was only later in the day when I got the chance to check him over properly that I saw he had a problem.
"Until I get him to the vet I won't know the full extent of the injury but there's bruising on the back of a front leg and he'll not be able to run.
"He showed pace and ran well enough to the third bend the other night but didn't come home like he can so it maybe something happened there."
