Lady Cecil will be represented by Wild Coco and Riposte in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York on Thursday, a race her late husband Sir Henry Cecil won five times Wild Coco (right): Runs in the Yorkshire Oaks Wild Coco has been a rare visitor to the racecourse, but the talented five-year-old makes the most of her chances and she made a successful seasonal debut when winning the Lillie Langtry Stakes at Glorious Goodwood for the second year running.
Riposte gave Lady Cecil an emotional triumph in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot but was only fifth in the Irish Oaks on her only start since.
Also among a field of eight for the Group One over a mile and a half are Irish raiders Venus De Milo from Aidan O'Brien's stable and Jim Bolger's Scintillula, who were second and fourth respectively in the fillies' Classic at the Curragh last month.
Ralph Beckett has declared Investec Oaks runner-up Secret Gesture and taken out the Epsom heroine, Talent.
John Gosden will be hoping last year's runner-up The Fugue can bounce back after a below-par effort in the Coral-Eclipse.
Luca Cumani's Emirates Queen, the sole supplementary entry, and the David Simcock-trained Moment In Time complete the eight-runner line-up.

One of my favourite meetings but very difficult to win. 40 years ago a well respected track bookmaker told me and I quote "If York races were on every week I would be the richest man in England". Lots of great horses have lost at York . I do fancy The Grey Gatsby in the Acomb stakes on Wednesday . Trainer kevin Ryan doesn,t run his horses in these races unless they have a serious chance of winning.

Stewart from a lovely day in Blackpool

I was thinking of returning to Barnet Fair a winner for me the other week. He ran an eyecatching race here earlier in the year then I see my worst nightmare that Tom Segal's gone and tipped him and the price now is around 10's. The guy just spoils the value for studious punters who do their own homework. I'm not one for rushing around for prices and making lots of phone calls only to be told "Sorry Sir ,the price as gone!"

Venus de Milo in the Yorkshire oaks for me! A lightly raced 3yo lost its unbeaten record in the Irish Oaks when second can go one better on the knavsmire tomorrow.

paul Kealey racing post racing editor gave 5 tips at York today. 1.55 haikbidiac @14/1 won 2.30 Lucky Cristale @3/1 won 3.40 The Fugue @3/1 won 4.20 Our Obsession won @3/1 and 3.05 Hotbed @14/1 3rd Hotbed lost at least 5 lengths at the start and was very unlucky not to win. Think that could have been a life changer for mr kealy. he will be back at the office tomorrow. What is the closest if any members have come to a really big win or even won the big one.
Regards Stewart
