TAKEN FROM THE LOVE THE DOGS WEBSITE / BELLE VUE OWNERS PAGE
Performance of the Month - December
One greyhound lit up the month of December with three exceptional performances, each of which was more than worthy of the award. That greyhound was the Richard Fielding trained, Ian McLeod owned five year old Devious Rumble who becomes the first ever dual winner of this award.
Devious Rumble started the month by winning a leg of the BAGS Intertrack, storming through to lead between the last two bends.
He managed an even greater feat a week later when winning his first ever open race; hats off to anyone who can remember a greyhound winning its first open race at five years old! Rumble was back for one more barnstorming performance as on Boxing Day he charged through on the inside to pick up Judys Bloom and score by a short head which gave him thirteen wins for 2013, tied for the most by any greyhound at Belle Vue.
Congratulations to all involved with Devious Rumble, a brilliant winner of the December Performance Of The Month award.

I have been informed today by Ian Mcleod - that DEVIOUS RUMBLE is hanging up his boots!! He has now been retired after picking up a small injury in his last race . He has been found a good home in the Lake District. Although it is always sad to see a worthy warrior depart from the racing scene at the zoo - I am sure you will join me in wishing this lad a long and happy retirement! Nothing more needs to be said as he did all the talking for himself Al
