I was sorry to see this old campaigner go badly wrong round the first two bends. The dog has been an excellent servant to the track and his connections. I hope we are able to see him again.

It was his hock Jim, we are gutted that his career has ended this way and are feeling a little guilty that we didn't retire him a while ago before he got hurt, but the dog kept putting in some great performances and seemed to enjoy racing, the plus side is that he will be fine and will be coming home with me to see out his days as a pet, that's what the lad deserves!!!

What a wonderful servant Jack has been on the track.
I know how much you think of the dog you have been telling me for a while now that you had made plans to take him home.
I'm sure he will make a fantastic pet he has gave me a lot of pleasure watching him race around Belle Vue and I'm sure he had loads of fans who have also followed him during his excellent racing career.
ALL THE BEST 'JACK'

I am truly sorry to see Jacks career ending with an awful injury like that! On the plus side,he will be ok and have a long happy retirement on your sofa. It's great to see a happy ending. Well done to all concerned on a fabulous career and here's hoping he makes a swift recovery. All the best.

He's been a brilliant dog over the years and seemed to love his racing so there is no need to feel guilty about letting him do what he enjoyed as long as he could.
I was at Nottingham the night he won over 680M when he clearly didn't stay that far - it was just guts that got him through.
Great to hear that he'll have a loving home to go to when the injury is mended.
