Went up to the kennels last night after work to see dexter and he is walking a lot better on his wrist and Gary said he will be good to come home with me this week sometime which is good news and I seen my other bitch ballybough queen too whilst I was there who is also off injured at the minute lol anyhow I have never known anyone put as many hours in with these dogs like Gary does he is there TIL as late as 11pm some nights sorting these dogs out the guy deserves a medal for effort and that’s why he gets good results from them when they run

Well dexter is home now I went and collected him last night from Gary’s he has settled straight back in with his little jack Russell mate and already trying to steal her tennis balls that she has had hidden in his kennel whilst he has been away 😂 😂 I surprised the kids as I said he wasn’t coming home until next week they are over the moon no excercise for 10 days then we will be back out on our walks with him as he is still a little sore on his wrist

Well its been 6 weeks off now and I started to gallop him a little two weeks ago and he seems sound as a pound now as he is running round like a lunatic and started to dig holes in my nice lawn in the back garden the sod I’d only just got it back right this summer from him being here last time lol

Any advice please my dining room has a wooden floor and that’s where dexter spends most of his time as that’s where his bed is now the didning room and kitchen are all in one really with the kitchen leading to the lounge which is a continuous wooden floor but he will only come to the lounge doorway nd seems to panic on his feet and start to slip n slide and back up back into the didning room I do put a couple of old blankets down for him to walk on and he does seem to walk a little better but still a bit panicky any suggestions would be helpful thanks

Well after a very very patient few weeks we might have just cracked it iv been out and bought carpet runners that lead from the dining room thru the kitchen and into the lounge to get him walking thru and we have started to take one away each week so he has to walk on the wooden floor between them and are now down to two runners he is a lot better now lol
