SATURDAY 5/8/17...
VERY sad watching one of my favorite greyhounds BALLYMAC JACK getting carried off the track this evening.
It was a very messy race and sadly 'JACK' failed to finish. On his return to the paddock the vet found him to be lame with a hock injury.
I'm told the track vet sorted him out very well and although he will be feeling a bit sorry for himself over the next few days I'm sure trainer John Walton and his daughter Kim will make sure Jack will be very comfortable back home in his kennel.
One thing I do know is that when Jack is ready and able to get around again he is going to get spoilt rotten by his loving and caring owner up in the Rossendale Valley.
Jack have given me loads of pleasure watching him racing at Belle Vue and I also know he had a big fan club.
ALL THE BEST 'JACK' SEE YOU SOON OLD LAD...

I too was very sad to see Ballymac Jack injured tonight. He's been a real star for his connections and I hope he makes a speedy recovery and enjoys a long and happy retirement.

To say that I am heart broken about last nights events would be an understatement, jack has been a fabulous dog to have in the kennel and I'm sure everyone would like a dog like him, from his phenomenal early pace to his quirky personality I wouldn't change a thing. All that matters now is we get jack right and at home with Tammy where he'll want for nothing. Love you jack, happy retirement you don't owe anyone anything xx

there's a lot I would like to say about bowsers comments.out of place will suffice. AS Jack started his career at our kennels I know him well. he has been very well handled by John and co through out most of his time at bv. this is now at an end and I will miss looking out for his results whenever they occurred. so a sad farewell from racing ,but a new life lazing around.

A super greyhound was BALLYMAC JACK a real Belle Vue type dog.
We will all miss watching racing down at the track.
I'm sure in time he will make a great pet and I will be going to see him from time to time up in Rossendale.
ALL THE BEST 'JACK'

very sad too see jack carried off last night at BV, he has proved himself a legend during his days there, sadly retirement has come a little too early for him, but it sounds like his injuries will repair and will give a chance to enjoy life as a pet like many others, good luck tammy and john

Horrible news about Jack , thoughts with Kim and all other connections .
Massive fan of the fast trappers and early paced dogs .... he had that in abundance and never missed the lids .
Enjoy retirement Jack 👍👊
