:Perry Barr Stadium: ..losing three fixtures over Christmas period..
PERRY BARR has been forced to give up three meetings scheduled over the Christmas period following a single Covid-19 positive which has had a knock-on effect in terms of staff availability.
Some key staff required to run the fixtures have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and will be required to self-isolate, meaning the fixture scheduled for Boxing Day morning will now take place at Sunderland.
The Monday morning scheduled card moves to Newcastle. with Wednesday's going to Nottingham.
Arc greyhound operations director Rachel Corden said: "Looking ahead, we'll have some staff shortages at Perry Barr due to key members of the team being required to self-isolate, so have taken the decision to move fixtures elsewhere within the group.
"We look forward to returning to our normal Perry Barr schedule on January 2, 2021.
"We'll be providing some welfare support to our [Perry Barr] trainers during the next ten days to assist in meeting the welfare needs of their greyhounds."
This situation down at Perry Barr Stadium is a worry but it's good to hear that 'ARC' are going to compensate there trainers and i have heard the GBGB will also be chipping in
