Saturday 29-8-20:: Betfred Super League
Leeds (26) 50
Tries: Handley 3, Myler 3, Gale, Lui, Oledzki Goals: Martin 7
Salford (0) 12
Tries: Evalds 2 Goals: Lolohea 2
Ash Handley and Richie Myler both scored a hat-trick of tries as Leeds Rhinos coasted to victory against Salford Red Devils in Super League.
Handley, Myler and Luke Gale crossed as Leeds worked their way into a 16-0 lead within the first 20 minutes.
Myler and Handley scored again as a stunning half continued for the Rhinos before Niall Evalds got Salford going.
Robert Lui and Mikolaj Oledzki extended Leeds' advantage, while Myler and Handley coolly added a third apiece.
The victory, Leeds' fifth of the season, lifts them up to fourth in Super League, while Salford drop into 10th place and below Wakefield Trinity on points difference.
Leeds came into the game lacking form having lost their past two matches, but Richard Agar's side dominated against a listless Salford.
The visitors entered the game with the opposite form to their opponents, having won their previous two games, but they were on the back foot as soon as Handley crossed for his first try.
Despite Evalds' brace of tries giving Salford hope of a second-half comeback, Lui and Oledzki's fine work continued Leeds' dominance.
Myler, who inspired much of the Rhinos' performance, wrapped up his hat-trick with a clever move onto his own kick which was symbolic of a fine evening for the half-back.
Not to be outdone, Handley ran in unopposed from 65 metres to seal a sensational hat-trick of his own just moments after Myler scored his third.
