CAN ANYONE think we will be back racing before the Irish?[June 28]that's a fair way off.some said may 18th.the gbgb are not in the business of giving their customers many updates, so it's a definite maybe for progression in this pandemic.so hopefully Boris may be a bit more informative tonight in his national address.let's hope we get some positive info going forward. the stalemate at the moment is getting a nonsense. and hard to put up with.one good outlook will be the rain we may get from the north for a few days. as it gets a bit colder.

WELL, there seems to be a lessening in the guidelines, and construction workers can go back to work. from Wednesday.we may have a decision on greyhound racing, but it all seems very vague. however I'm sure the gbgb etc will be up to speed and may have more informative directions from tomorrow.until then we shall have to wait and see. there maybe someone with a better perception than myself so if there is , lets here it.I'm no spokesperson for anything so on we go.

FROM WHAT is surfaced after Boris told everyone nothing, does anyone THINK we will go back at bv soon or another couple of months or so, is there an opinion, or not? are people afraid of looking sheepish if proved incorrect, it doesn't matter if your right, or wrong.but some outlook is better than none? isn't it.?

i can`t see any reason for not starting trial`s, if they get a date to commence racing, all be it behind closed doors. Trainers would be travelling to work in their own vans prob by themselves, once at the track the promoters would be responsible for the health and safety of personal, don`t know how bv will handle that after they got rid of paraders but won`t be hard to sort out. not sure if trainers are allowed further than the paddock and the maine problem will be at the pick up, but everyone is in the open air which is supposed to be benificial, so yes and the first week in june for racing to commence...

A survey of 7000 Covid sufferers, in the far east I think, found that only one case was contracted outdoors so the pick up may not be too much of a problem hopefully. A return to pre Covid Belle Vue may be miles away however !

The Racing Office Teams at the 5 'ARC' tracks are still off work.
I'm sure when they get called back in to work things will start to happen very quickly on the trials front.
Hopefully later today the GBGB will put out a press release after the Prime Ministers speech last night.
I'm sure the GBGB will have already started to ask for some sort of guide line re starting greyhound racing up this morning.
In the meantime it's pretty much as it was last week.

TAKEN FROM THE RACING POST WEBSITE...Mark Bird: head of the Greyhound Board, is planning aheadGBGB says June 1 is now the target date GREYHOUND racing remains confident that it can be ready to race behind closed doors from June 1 when the government has said professional sport will be allowed under such circumstances.
Responding to Monday's published UK Government Covid-19 recovery strategy, GBGB managing director Mark Bird said, “We need to study the content of the document in detail and continue to liaise with DCMS, but I remain confident that the dates we have already published will still have us ready to race behind closed doors from Monday, June 1. A further statement will be made tomorrow [Tuesday]."
The GBGB has previously indicated that trials could potentially resume from May 18 with two such workouts required before a greyhound can race.
