Yes I agree with you homingworld.dogs have to be fed and watered no matter what.but what a terrible bunch this arc must be raising people's hopes and then crushing them without as much as a by your leave.the complete and utter b******s.

So I am a percentage owner of dogs with my trainer, who loyally stayed with his track. Now he has no track, and the only option would leave him out of pocket. Funding to feed the dogs is being withdrawn, so I as an owner/part owner will be contributing to the upkeep of my dogs. What happened to the Welfare of Greyhound dogs who have kept the tracks and track owners in business, cast aside and forgotten. Left to the trainers to either Sell if they can or re-home, and the trainers who have given their lives to this business forgotten about and left to pick up the pieces and the bill. Please, Please, if you can help out your trainers and give the dogs the respect they deserve. HW I thought the GBGB were still paying 50p a day per dog ..
And also 'ARC' were still paying trainers £5 per dog per week
TOTAL £8.50 until further notice?

I would have thought that now tracks are up and running, the 50p a day by the gbgb would have been withdrawn, not sure but if that was the case you would think the gbgb could improve on the 50p per dog for the three or four tracks that are not running for one reason or another who`s trainers are left to carry the can..

We all no it's not a lot of money but in a case like this every little helps surely.
On the subject of funds I always thought the G.B.G.B. also had a HARDSHIP GRANT system?
Quite clearly in your case the 50p per day is not enough....

This COVID-19 was nobody's fault 'benny'
But it's with us and from now on we will have to cope with it because I don't think it will ever go away.
With something like this faceless killer there are always going to be casualties in life never mind sport.
The greyhound game has been hit very hard at this time and will take a long time to recover if it ever does.
I have read your posting above and i think you have had to take these measures.
Owners on your 40% system need to stand up and be counted for sure.
It sounds like your getting out of the game after all these years and who could blame you the sooner your advert goes public the better hopefully you will be able to move the greyhounds on very quickly.
Good luck in the coming weeks ahead.

contrary to some predictions.we have not and are not packing in dogs.we have to many for just bev to manage so we are cutting down to get better class animals.some of these will definitely move and some stay.we are in discussions with another promoter.but this doesnt seem fruitful at the minute but we are always hopeful.look forward to later in the year.see what happens.
