I've just heard on the grapevine my mate Paul is joining the BV training ranks and will be trialling dogs this week.
Good luck Paul That is good news 'Shadrack'
Towards the end of the year we are all hoping to be racing at least 4 meetings a week down at the ZOO.
So another trainer or two won't go amiss..
Hope your keeping fit and well Fred good to hear from you...

Back to racing Weds but no increase in monies for anybody ? so much for ARC coming over the hill bringing fresh hope for the owners/trainers at B/V.

FLOGGER.im beginning to agree more and more with you.its bv dogs on the cheap. why oh why are we required to work as hard as trainers at other tracks, buy our dogs , but run for less than others.yes the powers that know they can get trainers with fewer dogs. rightly need paying.but have other incomes usually. the shortcomings stare them in the face. they cannot run the meetings required this way. there's a shortage of dogs about. personally. I buy dogs so the wife has a full kennel and doesn't have to go cap in hand to any other owner , and doesn't have to be disrespected, because they have had a losing bet.but that is now wearing very thin. other tracks pay more its a definite.so they have made all the excuses.so I either cut back enormously .move dogs or stop owning. IT DOESNT PAY ANYMORE. so it's up to those in power. NEVER EVER HAVE THEY HAD AN OWNER LIKE ME.NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF BV HAS SPENT AS MUCH ON DOGS.but to have any loyalty to even my own wife is now wearing thin.if the tracks are short then its all over ,see if they could make other tracks run for the same amount.they would have to close down pretty quickly.come on lets just be fair that's all. UNLESS THE FACT REMAINS .IT AINT GONNA STAY OPEN.

It's a tough time being involved in Greyhound Racing at this time down at the ZOO.
The main thing is now we are under the 'ARC' control i feel a lot better than when Clive Feltham was in the hot seat.
I honestly felt by now we would have been getting better prize-money but the virus struck and now we are back racing at least the prize-money has stayed the same and not come down!
I agree it's even harder/tough for trainers at the track but the fact remains they are employed by 'ARC' to supply runners week in week out and they {ARC} should be paying use a decent rate.
The days have gone when trainers had to rely on owners paying kennel bills simply reason owners are hard to come by these days.
But on the subject of owner at this time it's not much fun being an owner we can't even go and watch our dogs in action or even visit them at our trainers kennels.
Time will tell on the future of greyhound racing at Belle Vue under 'ARC' but from what i have been told they have a 9 year lease and if they see it out that will do for me at my age.

The prize money at BV IS bad, I feel sorry for the trainers Now what about the owners? They have to buy the dogs, can't go to the kennels to see the dogs at the moment and the only way to see them is to watch the races on William Hill which was a shambles yesterday. They were overwhelmed with the schedule now horse racings on as well. They missed loads of dog races out yesterday. It may well come that the only way to see them run is to watch on BET365 and you then have to pay to see them. During this time of owners not being allowed to attend greyhound meetings i would have thought the likes of BET365 would not charge for watching racing?
I don't think there is much you can do about anything these days in our game we all just have to keep going and hope things get back to normal a.q.a.p.
Your spot on 'Shadrack' yesterday was a bit of a shambles on William Hill but fingers all crossed it will improve in time.
