 THURSDAY 17-12-20::Castell can strike wearing the red jacket...CASTELL STEVIE has not been firing on all cylinders of late but may have a touch too much class for an excellent A1 field in Perry Barr’s 7.16 over 480m tonight, live on RPGTV/TRP.
Lynn Short’s dog has been finding life tough on the open-race circuit, but is facing his easiest task for some time and can capitalise on the red jacket.
Doolin King is likely to seek the rails early, which is a hazard, but after that initial move he should give Castell Stevie room to kick on at the bend.
LONGACRES KIM can prove too strong for A4 rivals at 6.41. The trip is way below the optimum for Pat Doocey’s bitch, but she could track round safely on the inside and is well up to the grade if the gaps open.
At Newcastle, BRAMBLE OLIVERJ is taken to come out on top in an interesting A1 finale at 9.16.
Steve Anderson’s dog, who made the Puppy Cup final at Romford, had little chance behind Havana Senoir last time but is fancied to have the early legs on inside duo Look Like Power and Skywalker Bonnie.
CALZAGHE EDWARD gets a drop in grade to A2 for the 7.58 and that may give Carl Jackson’s dog a chance to use his all-round pace to decisive effect. |
