'ARC' have now been and gone our old shabby stadium is just sat there lying empty and waiting to be pulled down.

Sounds very good on paper Mark.
But the cost of building a new greyhound track will cost a lot more than your hinting at above.
I think the time has come now for us all to except the greyhound game here in the North West Of England is well and truly finished.

The answer to the Speedway question is that they had vision to see what was happening at BV a few years ago & choose to do something about it. Let us move on from what’s gone before, we know there have been several involved who had their own agenda and were not a force for good. The New Vue needs to be accessible to all. Geographically roughly equidistant between Liverpool & Manchester, probably near Haydock ideally. A parcel of land that could be bought! & permissions gained for building & racing. With someone like Simon Walmsley at the helm. Surely It’s not too difficult to find a consortium of a few hundred owners with £2/3K each. Future generations would love a facility we could perhaps all have a stake in. Mark Mayers very good post , I would put £2000 in the pot if it was all done above board with solicitors involved but you would need another 500 like me to reach a one million would that be enough I think not unless it was the size of westoughtons old track,,,,,, but that would do me. |
