Towcester is to replace Henlow for the Tuesday night fixture on RPGTV from early March.
There are various reasons for the switch, including a recent dip in the Henlow racing strength due to kennel sickness. Though there are other reasons too.
Spokesman Nathan Corden said: “”Moving the Tuesday from Henlow allows the graded strength at Towcester – who have been very patient – opportunities for more runs. Plus looking ahead to the future if we wanted to run competitions with four rounds it gives us that flexibility.”
Promoter Kevin Boothby said: “We are absolutely delighted to be on RPGTV and look forward to working with the guys moving forward. It will be great to showcase Towcester especially now we are hosting the English Derby. It is important that people see the new track and understand how it has changed”
OUR BOY SEAMUS limits his potential with poor trapping but his initial speed is there for all to see and it can still take him to the front in a Romford A1 over 400m at 12.16 this morning.
Michelle Brown’s dog did well a similar contest two outings ago and can stretch clear along the back providing he does not absolutely walk out.
DONTTELLTHEWIFE ran into one when well-fancied by trainer Nathan Hunt for a similar contest last week and is well worth another chance when she goes in an A5 at 11.46.
She broke well seven days ago but rejuvenated former top-grade winner Kind Secret showed her a clean pair of heels and she was never a factor after a first bend bump. This looks less demanding.
At Crayford, SLEEPY KEVIN found his RPGTV presentation as track greyhound of the year party-pooped when picked up by Magical Otis last week, but Nick Carter’s dog can hold fellow early-pacers at bay in an S1 over 540m at 12.54.
