..ARC And Sky Sports Racing Confirm Daily Greyhound Coverage..Greyhounds | 31 January 2021 www.arenaracingcompany.co.uk/media-centre/news/greyhounds/arc-and-sky-sports-racing-confirm-daily-greyhound-coverageArena Racing Company (“ARC”) is delighted to confirm it has secured an agreement that will see daily television broadcast of greyhound racing from ARC and Greyhound Media Group (“GMG”) greyhound stadia.
From Wednesday February 3rd, Sky Sports Racing will add to its existing programming evening racing from a selection of greyhound stadia, offering live HD pictures, seven days a week. The schedule at launch will consist of Nottingham (Monday and Friday), Sheffield (Tuesday and Saturday), Newcastle (Wednesday and Thursday) and Swindon (Sunday).
Sky Sports Racing is available in roughly 14 million homes on the Sky and Virgin Media platforms in UK and Ireland.
Mark Kingston, Director of Media Technology and Production at ARC said, “Sky Sports Racing coverage is great news for greyhound racing. We are delighted to work with the team at At The Races to expand significantly on the amount of live greyhound racing that the channel will broadcast and offer the sport a hugely valuable home for mainstream coverage, seven days a week.
“Swindon coverage last year confirmed that there is a following for high quality Open and Graded greyhound fixtures on Sky Sports Racing. We will revise the schedule over time to ensure that we bring viewers the very best of the greyhound fixtures across all ARC and GMG tracks.”

TAKEN FROM THE RACING POST.......Owners given April 12 green light at Sheffield... BY JONATHAN KAY 1 APR 2021
SHEFFIELD is to allow owners to return to the track to watch their greyhounds race from Monday, April 12.
While other venues have indicated a general reopening to the general public and owners from May 17, Sheffield is opting for the earlier government date for the easing of restrictions so far as owners as concerned.
General manager Matthew Hamilton said: "We have worked hard with the local authority to see this come to fruition and we are pleased to say that as of April 12, owners can once again come and watch their greyhounds at the track.
"There will, of course, be safety measures in place as there were last time and stringent checks to ensure we're doing our part in seeing a return to normality coupled with the preservation of safety and wellbeing.
"It will be essential to call our bookings team at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee a spot trackside as we can’t allow walk-ins just yet. There will be no food or drink outlets open until May 18."
