BO SHINE BULLET took a firm grip in the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket when storming to victory in the first semi-final over 714m at Crayford on Saturday, writes Jonathan Kay of the Racing Post......
Mark Wallis’s bitch took her British record to three wins in three starts as she made all to beat Sweet Leaf by six lengths in 45.00sec.
The other semis went to Dan Brabon’s Ragtime Storm (45.38sec) and Tony Gifkins’ Redzer Renae (45.48sec) who prevailed in a thriller from Anhid News and long-time leader Jet Set Teddy.
Wallis also dominated in the Peter Bussey Memorial Trophy over 540m, a competition he has won seven times, when landing a double with Aayamza Lexie (33.37sec) and Antigua Boy (33.90sec).
The other heat went to Greenhill Jack (33.62sec), trained by Kim Billingham at Monmore, who also scored with Final Moon (23.50sec) in a Welcome To Hope Jeal Trophy heat over 380m.
Sam West’s Ballynabee Lucky (23.33sec) was quickest in that, with Jim Reynolds’ Toughest Test (23.60sec) setting the standard in the Chief Ramsbottom Hurdle over the same trip over jumps.
