A quick fire double for Mark today, winning his first A4 race in 14 attempts in a time of 28.79 calculated - I am super proud of him, he ran another cracking race.
I have to say a couple of things - first of all what a credit this wonderful greyhound is to Bev and her kennel - just look at his times and apart from two runs (where he got in bad trouble) just look how consistent he is - even going way back to June last year! He just never stops trying and you know you will always get a run with him.
Secondly, what an advertisement for the 40% scheme. We got this dog from Dave for peanuts on the scheme, as we both liked the way he shaped in his trials and first race and thought he had potential. Mark has gone from A10 to A3 now and whilst I think A3 may be a little beyond him winning wise what an achievement! He has won 9 of his 38 races and come second 14 times - so first or second in 60% of all his races and has given us such enjoyment to be part of his journey - and he isn't even 2 and a half yet!
Thanks to all involved and always safe and sound first Mark!

Decent enough run by Mark again yesterday - after a slow start he switched wide behind dogs on the run up and was then nearly taken into Stanley Grove at the 2nd bend after bad bunching inside of him. Still ran on well to record 28.87 being beaten just under 5 lengths so another consistent run all in all. He's not good out of trap 5 to be honest and after the trouble inside of him at the second bend I was just glad to see him come off OK to be honest. As always thanks to Bev and Dave for all their efforts and safe and sound always Mark.

Decent run again yesterday from Mark - recording 28.72 and being beaten into third by two dogs who were just too quick for him, especially the winner who is a real progressive type. Can't fault him as always - he has his limitations and I think A3 is beyond him in all honesty, but he will still try his best and do his run without fail and when the time comes he will take his chance. A real credit to the kennel and one of a few around that are a real advert for the 40% scheme. Safe and sound always Mark!
