Just came across a post that Chris put up about Mac’s retirement race ( September 2014). It was a fantastic finish to his racing career, having won the race easily. That made 136 races run and 20 wins. After a short while at Kath’s kennels he came home with us and has led a very pampered life to this day.
Following the dreadful loss of our beloved Chris, last year, this lovely sweet boy has been my saving grace and comfort throughout my grief ,when friends and family were not allowed near because of Covid lockdowns. I dont know how I would have coped without him. There have been times when I’ve not been able to go to events if it meant leaving him for too long ( eg: the Greyhound Derby at Towcester tonight), but it’s been worth it because of the loving bond we have for each other. I hope Chris would be pleased to know that he’s still doing ok and enjoying his retirement.
