Investigating Officers x 2 – North and South
We are currently looking for two part time Investigating Officers to work under the direction and guidance of the Director of Regulation.
Working as part of a small nationwide team in the regulation and safeguarding of the sport, this role will require proactive investigations in connection with alleged breaches of the Rules of Racing and intelligence gathering.
Candidates will be required to conduct investigations, recorded interviews for hearings, and will also be required to keep parties regularly updated on investigation progression so excellent communication and reporting writing skills are essential, as is experience of conducting investigations (ideally related to animals).
You will be required to have a full, clean, and current driving licence, be able to work unsupervised and be IT proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Teams etc) and case management software (we currently use Clue).
Knowledge of the Rules of Racing and/or animal welfare legislation would be a huge advantage as would knowledge of betting and the betting markets. Work experience and evidence of related job-based training within greyhound or related industry (inc. performance animals) would also be looked upon favourably.
Both roles are being offered on a part time basis of 17½ hours per week. Salary will be £21,730 per annum and a car allowance of £3,000 per annum, paid monthly, will also be offered.
Candidates applying for the North position will ideally be based along the A1(M) northern section or Nottingham to Leeds.
Candidates for the South vacancy will be ideally based along the West section of the M25.
