Wimbledon premiere – one afternoon onlyOn Saturday, the Wimbledon in Sporting History organisation hold their premier of their film celebrating the history of greyhound racing at Wimbledon Stadium. A number of former Wimbledon regulars are expected to attend including ex-Racing Manager Simon Harris and trainer Norah McEllistrim.

Swindon’s Abbey Stadium sold to housing development company
June 1, 2024It appears that Abbey Stadium used for greyhound racing has been sold by Gaming International Limited to Legal & General Affordable Homes Ltd.
The stadium opened to the public on 23 July 1949 when it hosted the Swindon Robins speedway team; greyhound racing followed three years later on 1 November 1952.
Greyhound Weekly is unable to confirm at this time what the impact will be on the greyhound stadium.
