Head Coach, Paul Rowley has named a 21-man squad for this weekendβs Betfred Challenge Cup action.
Round 6 has pitted Salford Red Devils against last yearβs finalistsβ Hull KR, in a Friday night extravaganza at Sewell Group Craven Park.
After already downing the Robins once this season, Salford will be looking for a repeat performance, with Willie Petersβ side out for revenge.
SQUAD NEWS There are three returnees to the 21-man squad who will travel to Craven Park.
Cade Cust β after colliding with Saintsβ Morgan Knowles β failed a HIA in Round 4 and subsequently missed our Round 5 clash with his old club, Wigan Warriors.
After following strict concussion protocols, the halfback returns to the fold in a competition he won back in 2022.
Also back in the 21-man for the first time since our opening fixture of 2024, is Ollie Partington, who has recovered from an ankle injury suffered in training.
Joe Mellorβs inclusion will also be a welcome sight to Red Devilsβ supporters.
The versatile halfback has been out of action with a muscle injury, but he is now working his way back to full fitness and looking to make his Salford debut.

We are thrilled to announce a dual registration agreement with Betfred League One side, Oldham RLFC.
This partnership will allow both clubs to send players for valuable playing opportunities in a competitive environment.
The Roughyeds have started 2024 with a convincing 10-48 victory at Workington Town and will be looking for a successful season under the guidance of Head Coach, Sean Long.
Head Coach, Paul Rowley has said: βIt is great to get an on-field partnership sorted with Oldham.
βI personally have a very good relationship with both Mike Ford and Sean Long, so communication will be comfortable and positive.
βOldhamβs positivity, drive and ambition is something that is a privilege to be involved with and I am looking forward to both clubs benefiting from this connection.β
Director of Rugby & Operations, Ian Blease has added: βIβm very happy to get this dual registration confirmed.
βI have worked very closely with Mike Ford β and Paul (Rowley) has with Sean (Long) β on this agreement, which will now allow players β from reserve through to first-grade β an opportunity to gain valuable game time, with a local club.
βI look forward to this partnership blossoming and one both clubs will strive to make successful for the future.β
Sean Long, Head Coach at Oldham has also stated: βWe can tap into some of their players when we are struggling and vice versa.
βIf we need our lads to play some game time in the reserves, like Kieran has, they can go out and get some minutes under their belt.
βItβs good for our players learning their craft, but also if they have any players returning to action they can come to us.
βNeither side will be forced to take players, we will work together to form a good partnership with Paul Rowley and Salford.β

Paul Rowley has named his starting line-up for tonightβs Betfred Challenge Cup action.
Salford Red Devils have travelled to East Hull, where Willie Petersβ KR stand in the way of progression to the quarter-final.
The two sides have already met on one occasion so far this season, with some Marc Sneyd brilliance powering Salford to a 17-10 home victory.
Ethan Ryan will make his first start for the Red Devils tonight, on familiar territory, with Deon Cross keeping his spot on the opposite wing.
After sitting out last week due to concussion protocols, Cade Cust is back in the halves to partner Sneyd.
Gil Dudson also makes his first start for the club since his loan move from Warrington Wolves, while Jack Ormondroyd has recovered from illness to come in at prop.
Joe Shorrocks continues at loose-forward, but competition for places will be ramped up by the return of Ollie Partington, who is on tonightβs interchange bench.
The 18th man is Joe Mellor, who has recovered from a muscle injury.
