If there is a dog shortage at bellvue it's there own fault I know that there has been opens but my dog has missed 2weeks out of 3 and other dogs have raced 3times surely it can be made fairer than that but then again they have never been bothered about owners paying there kennel bills off to Sheffield with another dog . Watch Dave pups getting older doubt they will ever see bellvue track

I think the number of runs a dog has is governed by the ability of the dog. What I mean by that is the better grade dogs have fewer races. I haven't any statistics to back up my theory, it's only a gut feeling.

NOW THE OPENS HAVE FINISHED FOR THE TIME BEING AT THE TRACK WE WILL SOON FIND OUT ONE WAY OR THE OTHER IF THERE IS ANY SHORTAGES ON THE CURRANT RACING STRENGTH.
IF THERE IS YOU CAN EXPECT A FEW VACANT TRAPS AND ALSO A RACE OR TWO GETTING KNOCKED OFF OUR WEEKLY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENING RACE CARDS.
BUT FOR THE TIME BEING IT'S JUST A CASE OF WAIT AND SEE DOWN AT THE ZOO.

|Rufus I totally agree with you. This has been what I have been saying all along on this thread.
It would help if the correct going allowance was given on trial times. For example the trial going allowances are always slower than the first race that's run 10 minutes after trialling.
Some of the dogs on the card in my opinion aren't doing the grading times. And BV would prefer the lower grade dogs as it pays less prize money.
AND THAT'S BECAUSE THE TRACK IS RE-GRADED [TRACTOR] IN BETWEEN TRIALS AND THE FIRST RACE 9 TIMES OUT OF TEN.
AT THE END OF THE DAY ALL WE WANT [PUNTERS/OWNERS] IS TO SEE IS A FULL RACE CARD AND THAT'S THE JOB OF THE RACING OFFICE TO MAKE SURE THEY PUT ON 4 MEETINGS A WEEK FOR US ALL TO ENJOY..

Of course, some A1 runners have the chance to compete in the od Open and some owner may prefer they are lightly raced. Same often goes for Hurdlers. CHESTER

Thanks for explaining that to me Jim. Perhaps if the tractor went round then after every race there's a possibility the track may get back to normal going.
VERY GOOD REPLY THAT 'Shadrack'
By the way I don't think we will see the Belle Vue's MAGIC CARPET running normal much before Spring now do you....
