Just the one A1 again is it penny pinching or is there just not enough top grade dogs ?
I have a feeling this time next week there will be a couple of A1 races down at the ZOO.
But in saying that if the top grade greyhounds are not available to the grader for one reason or another then there's not much he can do about it at this time.

Hopefully from now on all greyhounds on the racing strength will get at least one run per week.

when dogs are run consistently they generally appear in races where they cannot win.and in boxes that dont siut them. it certainly eases the need to examine the grading closely.the dogs in question have failed to impress from that box and so its a lot easier to grade a card if you can feature dogs that are not going to upset the apple cart and find chunks of time. we constantly ask for certain dogs to be moved inwards.[seldom outwards]if you can be stopped from showing better form from boxing the dogs up then thats the way its to be. its easy to condemn the ro butsome of the factors they have to be aware of are.trainers have to be accomodated to earn enough to run there kennels.book makers are asked to pay far to much for the pitches they rent.and the main factor has to be the judges .on bv they are far to good for a weak market.coupled with the fact the racing office has to present an acceptable card 4 times a week.to much for an overworked ro. ITS A DAMN SITE EASIER IF YOU USE THE SAME DOGS IN THE SAME BOXES AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE one solution that would help is reduce the price of standing.if it was as it was meant bookmakers could then afford to make a book. this is only my opinion.

Do you think the time has come for the Belle Vue Racing Office Team to introduce Rails / Middle and Wide seeding in every graded race at the track and not just in those BGRF Bonus Series events?

I've had dogs which run rails, middle and wide and, to be honest, I've been treated pretty fairly. Had to phone the racing office once to complain about a boxing but they listened to me and the problem was sorted. It's a no brainier. - dogs should be boxed correctly.

What i do think is wrong that happens from time to time is when dogs instead of being given double grade hikes for winning easily there given only a 1 grade hike and are boxed for trouble, this for me is a welfare issue and is the easier option for a RO manager rather than them holding there hands and admitting they have been out foxed.
