Jack Relax threw his hat in the ring tonight with a stunning run over the 590m. Always running against the best he is very rarely out of the first three. Out and gone tonight in a smashing clock. Our other fella didn't run to badly either. Credit to the kennel and the staff. AND A FINE HAT IT WASLast race was shown as -10 if going was same for Jacks race I make that a 35.21 clock that alone must warrant this months award, the winning distances to some very good dogs just stamps the performance. Well done to all connections

Please note regarding this monthly Belle Vue racing office awards it makes no difference if it's a greyhound racing in top class or bottom grade the award is given to what the BV RO Team consider to be the Performance Of The Month spread across the board in there opinion.

I try to let them speak for themselves. But: Since returning to Belle Vue, Jack has only been out of the first 3 places once despite running against the best dogs on the track. 3 wins from 5 starts in May must make him a strong contender. I agree that the POM should cover performances over all grades and abilities, but surely you would go a long way to better last nights run. 2nd fastest clock in the past 2 years and he holds the 3rd fastest run in 2011. This dog deserves a lot of credit. Lets also not forget that he is capable of 40.91 for the 670m

I think Jack Relax put in a stunning performance last night and deserves the monthly award. Watch Dave put in a terrific performance to win a recent final but he had his box and made the most of it.

TAKEN FROM THE 'LOVE THE DOGS' WEBSITE - BELLE VUE OWNERS PAGE
Performance of the Month - May
Congratulations go to the Darren Hampson kennels and Alec Kilpatrick as their greyhound Cruising Belle has won the latest performance of the month accolade.
Cruising Belle won the Main Event on the 25th of May to see off a high class line up. She was chased home by subsequent A1 winner Express Trish and beat the high class Judys Bloom.
That win was even more significant because she has now won more races than any other Belle Vue runner in 2013 with eight wins from eighteen races to the end of May.
