 Tony NcKenna: trains Sheffield fancy Lionhearted Andy Andy looks handy for Sheffield open success LIONHEARTED ANDY blows hot and cold but he is very good on his day and Tony McKenna’s charge appeals in the 7.11 over 280m at Sheffield tonight.
A vacant trap on his outside cannot be a bad thing and the selection, a 16.00sec dog over this distance at best, is capable of seizing early control if getting away to one of his better starts.
Classy Kilmalady Fox, who has been making things difficult for himself with moderate starts, reverts to an inside draw and clearly has to be respected but the chances are that Lionhearted Andy will offer better value despite this being ‘his’ territory.
There are also three opens at Mildenhall with 375m track record holder Warning Sign capable of taking the 8.00 over 220m for Darren Whitton, while other fancies are Sundance Jet (8.30) and Droopys English (9.00).
