TAKEN FROM THE SPORTINGLIFE.COM WEBSITEHull to provide the MagicIan Millward previews the Magic Weekend in Manchester. Daniel Holdsworth: Can help Hull to derby win Catalans v London (+16)The big news here is the comeback of Scott Dureau who returns for Catalans after an eye injury. He was one of the form half-backs of Super League last season and though he will be rusty, he will improve the Dragons in the coming weeks. London's defence bordered on the verge of schoolboy last week and they could be in for a torrid afternoon here. Catalans will be too big, too strong and too quick. They can win and cover the start. Verdict: Catalans to cover the start Castleford (+4) v WakefieldThis looks like being a really close game. Both teams suffer inconsistency and concede a lot of points. It's a local derby so that brings with it it's own pressure and tension. Key for Cas is Rangi Chase's ability to create tries and Wakefield have sorely missed Paul Sykes while Tim Smith has been very inconsistent lately. If he steps up to the mark Wakefield have got a chance. However, I think Wakefield can cover here as their defence has been stronger in some of the tougher games. Verdict: Wakefield to cover the start Hull v Hull KR (+8)Both teams come here off the back of excellent wins. Over the last five weeks Hull have been the better team and they could have some key forwards returning this week. Overall, Hull's defensive efforts have been better in the last few weeks and their overall efforts against Warrington last week was very good. They are in a good place at the moment with Daniel Holdsworth impressing while Gareth Ellis is slowly getting back to his best. Verdict: Hull to cover the start St Helens (+8) v WarringtonI would have said Warrington were specials for this fixture a week ago but there are signs that St Helens could make a good fight of it in this one. Saints have all their forwards back while there's big rumours James Roby will return and they're almost back at full strength. Adrian Morley, meanwhile, returns for the Wolves. Warrington's defence has vigour and toughness and they are playing well despite losing last week. They should just have too much for Saints. Verdict: Warrington to cover the start. Salford v Widnes (Scratch)Who knows here? There could be some points in this one with these two defences. Take the overs in the total points market for sure. Widnes have improved but Salford just can't seem to continue a defensive effort for 80 minutes. The Vikings are more consistent but there's little to choose between these two and Salford did have a good win on Magic Weekend last season. I just feel it might be their day again with the return of some key forwards. Verdict: Salford to win the game Bradford (+8) v HuddersfieldBradford have been very consistent against the bottom six, but they get beaten easily by the top six. Huddersfield are in a really good space at the moment and are in really good form. I favour the Giants here, on a quick surface they can win it around the ruck and create plenty of scoring opportunities. Verdict: Huddersfield to cover the start Leeds (+8) v WiganWigan have been the best team by a mile this season, but they've had a lot of easy games and this will be a tough one. Can they go the whole 12 rounds as they've been knocking teams out early on? I think they can. Jamie Peacock is a massive loss to Leeds, he makes their most carries, metres and tackles so he's a huge loss. Wigan are in super form and over 80 minutes they can be too strong and clinical. Verdict: Wigan to cover the start

Steve Ganson has apologised for settling the 219th Hull derby with a decision which was described by Man of Steel Sam Tomkins as "the worst I've ever seen".
Former referee and the current technical director and match officials coach Ganson, manning the video screens for the clash between Hull and Hull KR, deemed that Chris Green was not offside when he beat Greg Eden to a Danny Houghton kick and scored to give the former a dramatic 22-16 victory.
What Ganson failed to notice when asked by referee Ben Thaler, however, was that Green was in front of Houghton when the ball was kicked and, with the hooker not running past him in the chase, was never brought onside.
As a result the try should not have stood and the outcome may well have been a draw - there were two minutes left - although KR boss Craig Sandercock had set his sights on getting a winning one-pointer.
And although Ganson did not put his name to a Rugby Football League statement, it was said via Jon Sharp, the head of the match officials, that he had made his apologies, with the governing body admitting an erroneous decision had been made.
Sharp said: "We have reviewed the decision and it is clear that Steve made the wrong call.
"Honesty and accountability are important to the Match Officials Department and we can only apologise for the error.
"Steve has been in contact with Hull Kingston Rovers and offered his apologies. He is one of the sport's most experienced officials and deeply regrets having got it wrong.
"As with all fixtures, we will conduct a full review of the performance of our match officials following Magic Weekend and will take what steps we can to ensure that mistakes like this do not happen again."
Ganson's apology at least gives Sandercock what he wanted, with the Australian one of a number of vocal dissenters in the aftermath.
Wigan's Tomkins, the country's most high-profile player, got his point across on Twitter, while Leeds forward Ryan Bailey said Ganson should "stand down".
Sandercock was perhaps a little too emotional in calling it a tragedy, but was still entitled to be unhappy.
"We replayed it on our computer and I was giving instructions to go for a field goal (in the next set) as he (Green) was five metres offside. It's a tragedy and I will be disappointed if he doesn't come out and publicly apologise to our supporters and players," he said.
"It's blatant. I was yelling instructions to go for the field goal and everyone in this room could see that. If they come out and say Greg Eden touched the ball... He was a million miles away. I expect the video referee to give an apology to our club."
Sandercock would not have expected to get any sympathy from opposite number Peter Gentle and would have been right.
The Australian complained about decisions that went against his men in the same fixture last season which Rovers won with a similarly-dramatic late show.
"It sort of squares it up for last year," he said. "You would need to talk to the referees. I'm not sure about the ruling, but we will take it."
The incident brought back unfortunate memories of the first-ever Magic event in 2007 for Ganson. An on-field official at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, he gave Leeds an illegal last-minute win over Bradford with a decision for which he later apologised.
