SILL IN A STATE OF SHOCK! after watching Little Babe shoot clear last night in her first race over the 590m trip.
Before the race I was not convinced she would get the trip, but the time was good and the split-time was even better.
I have watched the recording off the race a few times and OK there was plenty of trouble in behind coming around bends 5 and 6 but 'Babe' was flying and who knows she may well have hung on anyway.
Well a wins a win and it was back on Boxing Day morning since she last won here's hoping she can now follow up and who knows in time she may even get the testing 670m down at the ZOO...
WELL DONE 'BABE'

To me she would still have won well last night. Don't think the dogs behind looked like they were getting anywhere near her. Not sure she would want 670 though

Just about got over the shock of seeing how well 'Babe' ran last week over the 590m at the ZOO.
It's back to the standard trip tonight and hopefully she will put up another bold show.
Little Babe's next engagement will be down at Romford on Monday in a 575m Maiden Open Race competition, but of course that's if she get accepted by the Romford Racing office.
I'm at the Saldford City Reds v St Helens Super League clash tonight so I will be awaiting a text round about 9:45 and here's hoping it's another win for our little stayer in the making..
Early on the race card this evening our other new greyhound Colla Head [ROY] will be having his first outing on the flat at Belle Vue in A6 company and hopefully he will also give a good account of himself.
COME ON 'ROY' & 'BABE'
