Well........it has taken long enough, but our lad has finally got his just rewards and cracked the A1 barrier! Normally finding himself a little outpaced on the run up over the 470 distance, and usually getting into trouble at the first bend - and leaving himself too much to do later in the race! Today - he "fell out" which ensured that he was behind the leaders at the first and enjoying a trouble free run around the first two and in fourth coming out of the second and reasonably close up if good enough on the day! This proved to be the case today - starting his run before the third bend he managed a clear run - eventually challenging inside the leader from the fourth and outstaying the pack to the line! Not the fastest A1 - but a well deserved "first" in the grade - brilliant, well done to the gang working with the LAD!!! Now for a 590 - that would be nice  |

Another fine job done by the team preparing Leo to win his 590 Open Race on Northern Flat night at the zoo! In the fastest 590 time of the year as well, more than chuffed for the lad - he deserves it - well done gang!!! |
