there are some adds on data that are at the least economical with the true facts.
many adds are stating firsts.but most of them solos.
   a
good few seem to think that the brits are totally stupid.
glowing write ups then a rating of 50ish yet 2800 asked in a5.
if ever the adage buyer beware was applicable than data adds are the epitome of that saying.

I noticed this one the other day. The dog is 3¼ years old and has run 17 races in total. His last win was a year ago and he has run just 3 races this year. In his comeback race at Sheffield, after 7 months off, he was lucky to only get marked awkward (I was there). The other night he led an A2 field at Coventry and finished last.

The enticing comment about him is Nice dog for sale who could turn into a very good hurdling greyhound. 

By stretching your imagination you could possibly say he was worth £400-£500.

Incredibly they have priced him up at £3,500 ono. Absolute fantasists.

Greyhound Data adverts are a bit like watching the Jeremy Kyle show on ITV. They make you wonder whether these people are from the same planet as you. Of course, I should point out that I seldom watch the Jeremy Kyle show. (smiley face)

I do sometimes sympathise with sellers of dogs on data, especially the Irish section, most of these sellers would have reared the dogs from pups. Most on here know you don't get much change from 2K getting the dog to the track, unfortunately for them they have to take a massive pill when trying to move the dogs on, personally I would not pay much more than £800 for a racing dog to run on BV. Having said that I have gone the other way on three occasions and had pups reared. (not for 2K though)
