I agree with you 100% on that. Racecourses have them. Owners, trainers and there conections should be treated a little bit more special by the tracks, without them there would be no tracks. If they want to attract more owners then something like that may help. But it will never happen, most tracks are run by accountants and are struggling so anything non essential that effects there profits is a no no.

putting all the owners and trainers in one room would be like a ticking time bomb.

What's needed is an owners and trainers lounge, a private lounge area just for owners and there family, trainers and there staff. A private lounge with sofas, tables and chairs, big screen TV's. Private complimentary bar and buffet. With access granted to the owners, trainers and conections who have greyhounds taking part on that evenings card. Owners and trainers should be treated like gold dust by the tracks. Believe it or not this was all available 4 or 5 years ago, excepting the complimentary bar which is only available at the Carling track, but it was virtually unused on most nights and was understandably ditched after a few weeks.

putting all the owners and trainers in one room would be like a ticking time bomb. Your probably right, but it would be fun to watch! Some great YouTube videos could be made lol. Bad idea of mine best keep them all apart. But I do think there should always be reserved seating available for trainers and there staff.

What is kept in the shed that is just after the paddock, if BV allowed the owners forum to take it over and do it up if its big enough, might be feasible, plenty of trades and know how on the site,

We could do with a small room with seating and a decant TV screen in the kennel area similar to Monmore ,which is located near the vets room. This would allow trainers / kennelhands to observe what is happening in your respective races after there completion , on Friday night we had dogs in the open races and never even saw one single replay of our race. Which after preparing the dog for the event is a pretty poor show when you don't get to see the race properly because within 2 minutes of it's completion that's it.What Mark is asking for seems reasonable enough and wouldn't cost the earth , it is annoying that every other track has flat screen in the kennels and we have a clapped out thing which has lines running across it. Is it any wonder that most owners are reluctant to buy or breed dogs when they don't seem appreciated anymore ?

Wibur makes a fair point, the downstairs bar where the BV chippy is now situated was designated as an owners bar but was not utilised, still isn't now by most people in general. Can't really see it ever taking off again either.

The lines on the telly are there for a reason. It is obvious that the racing office want the trainers to see their dogs are keeping to their respective lanes.
