HOLYCROSS WILLIE was found to be lame after his last outing at Belle Vue and will be off the track now for 4/6 with a groin strain.

Hopefully in 2014 'Willie' will have a change of fortune, in the mean time he's on the feet-up list.......

HOLYCROSS WILLIE is responding well to daily treatment on his groin strain.

He's back in light work and he went for his first swimming lesson on Tuesday, which by all accounts went very well.

No decision has been made yet as to what happens when he's fit and ready to race again.

Sadly Holycross Willie finished lame at today's trial session at Belle Vue.

Willie has been retired with immediate effect from racing and a suitable retirement home will be found for him as soon as possible.

By the sounds of things 'WILLIE' will be re-homed over the next two to three weeks..

The lad is due to pay a visit to the vets on Monday to sort out his tackle and then he will be ready for re-homing.

Things did not go to plan when racing but I'm 100% convinced he will make a fantastic pet and give his new owners loads of fun along the way.
