Irish Import Mucky Sully made an impressive debut for John Walton’s kennel in an A4 contest at Belle Vue on Friday. The August 2013 son of Kinloch Brae and Out Of Court had signed off his Irish card with his first win at Cork and showed that he had settled in well at his new surroundings by clearing first bend trouble and storming round the 470 metres in 27.85, winning by eight lengths.

Big thank you to John, Kim and all John's staff for nursing Sully back to health after an Achilles' tendon problem. He fell out the boxes today but managed to use his stamina to get up near the line and win. I know Martin, the co owner, is equally thankful.

Thanks, Jim. I thought Sully was a bit unlucky at the weekend when he found trouble at the first bend. Today's win makes up for the weekend. Sully is a tough dog to beat in his own grade when he gets his head in front. I thought the five ran a cracker in defeat.

Great to see MUCKY SULLY winning tonight first time over the 590m trip at the ZOO.

He ran a very game race and just about lasted home on a slow track.

Hopefully all his recent injuries are well behind him now and i'm sure he will win plenty more races for his very sporting owners.

Thanks. John and Kim have done a great job with Sully. He had a bad injury but has come back fighting fit. The distance tested his stamina but, as you say, he managed to build up a big lead and then held on for a good win. Martin, the co-owner, was equally chuffed with his victory.
