Thanks, John. Pleased you've won a few quid. Had my heart in my mouth when he began to tire but it's understandable after a lengthy injury.

Cracking run,won comfortably, can't knock early pace whatever the distance.

After originally looking at the videos of his runs in Ireland I was worried whether he would stay the four bend trip, never mind six bends.
Nevertheless, I said to Martin at the time, no matter how good or bad the dog is, John Walton will get the best out of him.
I made him a 6/1 chance on Saturday - good job it wasn't on Betfair as I would have laid him for a right few quid.
Delighted to be proved wrong - well done to all concerned.

Chris, Had the same concerns about Sully's ability to stay. The 590 distance is pushing his stamina but, as you say, he's proving everyone wrong. Following his injury he is now hitting the lids and, as we know, this is the key to winning races. Sully's strike rate compares with the best and he's been a great dog for Martin and me. Agree with you that John and Kim should take all the credit. Thanks, Simon, for your comments. Don't think he won "comfortably" but he won!!

Dog racing is a funny old game as proved last Friday with our dog Mucky Sully. This was the dog that brought me back into dog racing at belle and was found by John Walton. At a very reasonable price and what a dog he has been for Rufus and myself. And JW has proved what a trainer he is. He must be the tightest railer on the the track but one thing he Was lacking was consistancy from the boxes . Sods Law that in the very race he flew out 4.31 sec , he went lame during the race.. I was unable to go last Friday and watched the race and was amazed at his start. And with his usual style of running felt confident in running he would have won only for that Not taking anything away from the winner because that's a good dog but we knew something Was wrong.our Mucky But that's dog racing. He has already had one serious tendon injury and was nursed back by team Walton and we do hope that's it's not the same injury , but still waiting on John to get. It diagnosed . John said the dog is fine and not in pain,And we only hope he gets back on the track sometime in the future. He has been a real money spinner and always gives his all. Does not owe us a penny . We now have shares in 5 other dogs at Monmore that have done us proud and would like to have more on Belle Vue but the prize money does Not unfortunatly make this a viable proposition. When it comes to owning a few dogs at the track.. Anyway let's hope not too long before he's back. Big Josh

Hope 'Mucky Sully' is soon back racing for you all.
I can see where your coming from 'Big Josh' re prize-money levels between the ZOO & MONMORE there's no contest on that subject to be honest.
Good luck JR...

Gutted when I heard on Sunday that Sully was injured. I knew instinctively on Saturday night that he had gone wrong when he didn't see the race out after bolting from the traps. Sully has done Big Josh and myself proud and our only concern is Sully's welfare. He's in the right hands with John and Kim. Hope he can recover from his latest injury.

Just a line to say our worse prognosis on Mucky Sully was found to be right after going lame in his last run at Belle Vue . John contacted us to say after him being checked over that in fact it was the old injury that had made him go lame. John ,Steve and I discussed the situation and thought it only fair to the dog that we should retire him and find him a suitable home We're he can live out his days in comfort. How lucky we have been to get a grand servant like him. It's just a pity re the injury but this is all part & parcel of greyhound ownership. His record of 33 races at the Vue with 10 wins 9 second and 3 3rds was in top grade races. Speaks for itself. And he gave us everything in every race. He will be missed. We would both like to thank both John & Kim for their diligent handling of Mucky through his first spell of injury, and hope Sometime in the future we will get involved in ownership at the Vue once again..
Martin &. Steve

What a very consistant greyhound 'MS' has been at the ZOO
He must have given you loads of fun along the way I'm sure in time you will find a forever home for him.
Farewell 'SULLY'
