LOGGIES LITO (11-8F) got it right in the competition when it mattered most to become the first ante-post favourite to land the title in years with a front-running victory in the RPGTV National Sprint final over 305m at Nottingham, writes Jonathan Kay of the Racing Post..
Simon Harms’ dog had been beaten at short odds in both heat and semi but a repeat was never likely after he made a flying start from trap three.
Trouble in behind at the first bend only extended his advantage and, although Signature Callum chased hard and did edge closer, the race was over with Loggies Lito claiming the £3,000 prize by just over three lengths in 17.88sec.
Gary Carmichael’s Little Emir (15-8F) and Gavin Holman’s Easy Shot (1-2F) ensured a clean sweep for favourites in the finals on the card when landing 500m all-aged and puppy deciders in 29.82sec and 29.88sec respectively.
