It's been a long time since I followed a belle vue dog on the open scene. It's amazing for the track in a time of great uncertainty and I hope he goes on to win in a canter. Going a bit further a field to win bigger opens seems like the only way this dog can go to receive the adulation he deserves. Winning smaller Sheffield opens is nice but surely this dog and connections deserve more. This isn't a criticism by the way. I wish only the best things for all concerned. Probably selfish on my behalf but would love to see him compete against the best around and on current form its more than doable. Get the job done next week and let's hope to see big things. I'm sure the majority of track connections are behind this dog but unfortunately you will always get the haters. F😃😃k em! All the best Leo.

Not aimed at you or anyone else! Just a remark at the trap draw comments. We all want the best for our dogs. Not everyone is a pure dog man and want to see great runs from great dogs. Human nature says you will get haters who don't want to see this. My post was purely about a very good dog making a name for himself and the track. Hope you are my post in the way it was meant.

JOHN I agree, one of the dogs last night.was of the same problem.it, unfortunately, ended the dreams and runs of some of the competitors. but should races be made with the proviso of a trial? ye all dogs should b made to trial at a new track u got lucky not trailing ambrose first time round Sheffeild hence y he didn’t win I can never understand when trainers have good dogs and what to put them at risk for the sake of a trial. As for trap draws he got away with missing the lids on Saturday coz he wasn’t in with nothing let’s hope he traps next week looking at the comp most dogs r railers so going to need a good draw and he needs to come out level I don’t believe he is a dog that ever smashes anyway so the dogs around him r gunner play a massive part on the run up. It’s obvious he’s the fastest dog in the comp but that doesn’t give him the right to win it. We all know that. I’m a massive fan of the dog and hope he goes all the way. As for after the comp I hope he travels around getting plenty of trials a different track In big comps , then I think he will get the credit he deserves there will always b doubters until he goes farther a Feild. Good luck at weekend ambrose 👍🏻

part of our problem is where we live. and having an old car. our dog vans ok only 2 yrs old but our car isn't one you like to rely on.its ok locally the wheels go round and we can see through the glass .but that's it. we were helped out by an old friend Billy.he doesn't mind taking us to the tracks for trials, and it's good of him. why don't I buy a new car I would but Bev doesn't think we would get our money worth cause im nearer eighty than seventy. and shes seventy-three. and to be honest we were discussing knocking it on the head tonight.we/I put in more than we get out of it and there are opposition and jealousy. a thing that appears to be all too common in greyhounds. there is supposed to be a new company interested in taking over bv.if this is a positive fact then there would be enough at bv for us.so trials we now have to do with this dog.cause he's above-average.and despite his injuries.[one of which he still carries]in the old days 2000 we did a bit of open racing but it seemed easier then. he hasn't won the final yet and until then we won't make any plans.nothings taken for granted. which leads me to the 40%.i buy the dogs, cheapish ones cause we have no people who would share dogs. and to get 40% is difficult.if we could get some people to share better more costly dogs we would do it. I tried it once, got handsome .and a couple of others and got them left on my hands. I had decent offers from other track trainers. but nothing materialized. any way its easier to say than do. Kevin's part-owner has mapped out a scenario. and we shall stick to that, for a while. I realize that there is a lot of interest in this dog.so although we cannot do what everyone wants wee will do our best. for the dog. I hope this message helps to explain a few things, now I'm finishing my whiskey.so do one.
