I think the racing manager should be making sure that every trainer gets a small slice of what seems to be a diminishing piece of cake, some kennels are on 25% and you would think that they would be happy but alas it appears not, they want even more. And as for a greyhound sale at B/V Who in the present climate would buy a dog to run there ??You would be surprised 'flogger' there are still plenty of owners and trainers buying new greyhounds to race at the ZOO.
At the end of the day we all have to carry on despite what seems to be going on surrounding the long term future of our track these days.

Plenty of owners and trainers buying dogs ?? some dogs are getting their legs ran off, 5 dog races and trials cancelled because of lack of interest, something dos`nt add up !!!!!!!!!!!!! Things change week to week down at the ZOO 'flogger'
I fully expect to see a decent turnout on Thursday this week for our trials session.
We have a new trainer on board her greyhounds will get graded on very quickly.
Despite what you think there are still plenty of owners and trainers buying new greyhounds to race the ZOO.

so who is leaving for pastures new ?? The truth is 'flogger' no one knows for sure who it is.
It could be Lady or a Gent?
IT could even be a kennel split just like the one Jill enjoys with Nottingham.
But one thing for sure IT WILL ALL COME OUT IN THE WASH - IT ALWAYS DOES.

WEDNESDAY 17/7/19....
IT'S TIME NOW FOR OUR RACING OFFICE TO ADVERTISE SOME OPENS RACES AT THE ZOO.
WEEK IN WEEK OUT WE ARE LED TO BELIEVE IT'S GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FILL OUR 3 MEETINGS.
WELL I DON'T BUY INTO THIS ONE BIT - OUR TWO WEEKLY BAGS FIXTURES SUNDAY [12] AND WEDNESDAY [14] ARE SET IN STONE AS WE ALL KNOW.
BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE OUR SATURDAY EVENING FIXTURE.
DURING THE YEAR ON A SATURDAY NIGHT OUR TRACK IS ONE OF THE BEST ATTENDED GREYHOUND TRACKS IN THE COUNTRY I DON'T KNOW WHERE THESE PEOPLE ALL COME FROM SOME WEEKS IT'S A MYSTERY TO ME.
AT THIS TIME WE ARE DOWN TO 12 RACES ON A SATURDAY AND IF THIS ON GOING PROBLEM IS NOT SORTED OUT VERY SOON THESE CARDS ON A SATURDAY WILL HAVE TO BE REDUCED FOR SURE.
MY IDEA WOULD BE TO ADVERTISE 3 MINOR OPENS 260M / 470M / 590M EVERY WEEK OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTH'S IF ONLY JUST TO TEST THE WATER AND SEE IF WE CAN ATTRACT INTEREST FROM OTHER TRAINERS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.
PLUS WE NEED TO THE GREEN LIGHT FROM THE BV RO TEAM REGARDING THIS YEARS RUNNING OF THE SCURRY CUP AND NORTHERN FLAT
I AM SICK OF CERTAIN PEOPLE KEEP TELLING ME WE ARE STILL WAITING TO FIND OUT RE THE LONG TERM FUTURE OF THE ZOO.
WELL THAT'S A LOAD OF BULL SH@T - THE FUTURE WILL BE WHAT IT WILL BE..
IN THE MEANTIME TIME 'IT'S BUSINESS AS USUAL' [NOW WHERE HAVE YOU ALL HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE]
WE ALL HAVE TO REMAIN POSITIVE AND KEEP GOING AND IN THE MAIN SINGING FROM THE SAME SONG SHEET.
IT'S ALL ABOUT NOW NOT NEXT MONTH / NEXT YEAR.

IMO its more of saving money. then being able to put on races.the track is in quick decline and the need for saving money is more urgent then looking after staff. he must number among the greediest people alive FELTHAM. AND HAS NO MORE CONSIDERATION FOR ANYONE ELSE BUT HIS SELF. these races can be made up simply if they so desired.its more about the presumed track closure than anything else.in fact the way they are acting its a done deal.

A very average 11 race card on Saturday again. BAGS racing decent cards, but Saturdays has become a poor spectacle. No 6 bend races , just the same old same old. Very poor for the crowds they have had recently.
