 A member of staff has tested positive for Covid-19 at DoncasterSIS switch meetings as Doncaster suspend for weekend.....BY JONATHAN KAY OF THE RACING POST..DONCASTER’S next three meetings - Saturday, Sunday and Monday - have been cancelled after a member of racing office staff tested positive for Covid-19.
Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS which has Doncaster on its service, said: “Doncaster are to be commended for the prompt action they have taken in the interests of their own staff, trainers and kennelhands.
“It was immediately agreed that the three meetings concerned would be called off and subsequent fixtures will be dependent on advice from track and trace plus the GBGB.”
The Doncaster cancellations have led to a number of changes to the SIS schedule with Towcester (Saturday afternoon and Monday evening) picking up two replacement fixtures while Henlow will now race on Sunday morning with Harlow taking the evening slot it usually occupies.
News on additional changes to the SIS schedule and a return to racing date for Doncaster will follow in due course. |

Please note that there will be a change to the SIS Greyhound Schedule. Doncaster stadium has temporarily suspended meetings due to a confirmed positive test for Covid-19.
The changes are as follows:
Towcester will replace Doncaster on Saturday 7th November (Afternoon).
Henlow will replace Doncaster on Sunday 8th November (Morning)
Harlow will replace Henlow on Sunday 8th November (Evening) – (Please note that Harlow will race twice on this day)
Towcester will replace Doncaster on Monday 9th November (Evening)

BOOTHBY STATEMENT RE PRIZE MONEY.....
TAKEN FROM THE GREYHOUND STAR — NOVEMBER 8, 2020
Henlow/Towcester promoter Kevin Boothby has issued the following statement concerning prize money at both tracks from Monday:
“I am pleased that SIS have reached an agreement with the bookmakers as regarding carry on with racing during the lockdown period. However this has come at a cost as all betting shops in England are closed and this is how the revenue is generated to fund the service.
“As from Monday 9th November win money on all graded races at Henlow and Towcester will be reduced by £40 per race.
“Also all fixtures and number of races will remain the same and we will review the win money once lockdown has ended and hopefully betting shops reopened. I am pleased to say that the run money and your contract money will stay the same and will not be affected.
“Also can I please remind everyone to stay safe and please social distance at the track and wear facemasks and wash your hands regularly.”
