Anybody heard how ex Belle Vue trainer John Drake is doing these days.
Good dog man John hope he's not another trainer lost to our sport.

SUNDAY 20th DECEMBER 2020:::
The GBGB has studied the latest government advice on areas that have now entered Tier 4 restrictions and remain confident that racing behind closed doors can continue at those tracks affected by the higher restrictions. This will also include for now, open racing.
Commenting on the latest government advice, GBGB Managing Director Mark Bird said, βWe need to remember that these restrictions relate to a variant strain of the Covid virus. The variant is said to have a transmission rate 70% higher than that of the original. I would ask all stadia staff, trainers and their staff to remain vigilant as to their social distancing at all tracks and to maintain strict levels of PPE. Whilst it is very important for us all to keep working, we must be mindful that the current situation with the virus is fast-moving and we will need to constantly review our operational plan in line with government advice.β

...ARC CONFIRMS PERRY BARR DECEMBER FIXTURE MOVES...WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 23, 2020Three fixtures over the Christmas period will move from Perry Barr to alternative ARC venues. Following a single Covid positive some key staff required to run the fixtures have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and will be required to self-isolate over the Christmas period.
Boxing Dayβs morning fixture will take place at Sunderland, Monday 28th (morning) will take place at Newcastle and Wednesday 30th December (morning) will take place at Nottingham.
ARC Greyhound Operations Director, Rachel Corden, said, βLooking ahead, we will have some staff shortages at Perry Barr due to key members of the team being required to self-isolate, so have taken the decision to move fixtures elsewhere within the group. We look forward to returning to our normal Perry Barr schedule on 2 January 2021. We will be providing some welfare support to our trainers during the next ten days to assist in meeting the welfare needs of their greyhounds

***** PLEASE NOTE *****
Over the next few weeks the BELLE VUE OWNERS FORUM may go off-line for upgrades / Maintenance Mode from time to time.
Hopefully this will not stop your enjoyment here on the B.V.O.F. and normal service will resume as quickly as possible.
