  Romford abandoned due to partially frozen track
ROMFORD abandoned their Friday night meeting after just seven races due to a partially frozen track, meaning semi-finals of the £10,000 Coral Essex Vase will now be staged on Monday 22nd January.
The Category One final over 575m is due to be run on Friday 26th January.
Three semi-finals of the £5,000 Coral Silver Maiden were the final three races to be run, with Newcastle raider Pape Di Oro (5/6F) in the final qualifier progressing through as the fastest winner.
Savva Roberts' dual Category One finalist posted 24.23sec on a slow track, beating Droopys Cando by over three lengths.
Droopys Swanky (24.39sec) and Tip Toe Along (24.64sec) made all in the other two qualifiers, chased home by Leaha Salha and Mineola Chance respectively. |
