That's a great number jim I didnt think it would be anywhere near that but that's remarkable. If everyone who has signed the petition is pationate about the zoo all it would take would be £230 from each person, that would raise just over 3.7 mil which is what there asking for the sale of the freehold so I believe. How simple does that sound. May be that's to easy but it's not a massive ask when ur in last chance saloon

Benny read my 2 recent posts on last chance saloon. If people are passionate about the zoo well it wont take a lot of money from each and every one who has signed the petition. No body has commented and made suggestions. I was willing to put a bit in but now it seems theres no interest what so ever from all these so called do gooders who sit on the fence and tap on a button to say yes sir we save the zoo. Well I hope it all goes tits up for u so called belle vue saviours. Simon and alan are wasting there time in my opinion because most who signed are just no body's.

Steve, It really isn't quite as simple as it sounds to resuscitate BV at the moment! Getting, as you put it, the majority of listed supporters to fork out £230ish each would be a tremendous achievement in itself, and the idea is a worthy one, but alas not feasible! Should even a Major part of this be acheived, this still wouldn't be enough to make things work - unfortunately! It could however, prove to be a catalyst in helping to bring someone interested, and with big bucks, to come out of the woodwork and join us? That said, I very much fear that it is a Lottery "winner" supporter, or Nowt down, from where I am sitting! Count me as one of them, as I have already made my feelings known, and have already pledged to make a bid to purchase should I be fortunate enough to have the funding, and if successful place it in a family trust with an offer of a 10 to 20 year lease on the place with conditions attached! Until or unless this happens, like everyone else, saving our stadium pretty much remains just a dream with everything crossed in the hope a miracle happens!

Alan £230 is peanuts to everyone this day and age. If you go out with your wife or partner for a good night out and a meal in Manchester you would spend that minimum. So the point I'm getting at is that if 16000+ people gave up a weekend out and put there money to the cause well that's a massive contribution. If not your dream has died mate

But to be honest i can't see that coming about at this late stage now the track is no more.
